Brzustewicz has been recalled from the Calgary Wranglers (AHL).

Brzustewicz was a third-round pick, 75th overall, of the Vancouver Canucks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The 21-year-old defenseman played one game with the Flames last season, his only NHL game. He has 12 points (4G / 8A) in 23 games this season with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL).

Wolf will start vs. Buffalo on Monday.

After an abysmal start to the 2025-26 season, Wolf seems to be rounding into form, recording a shutout in two of his last eight games (4-3-1), and posting quality starts in four of his last five (3-2-0), posting a 1.40 GAA and .931 SV%. The 24-year-old runner-up for the 2024-25 Calder Trophy has 2.90 GAA and .899 SV% in 23 games this season (8-12-2). The Flames enter Monday's contest as slight -104 home underdogs against a Sabres team at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with 26 points (11-13-4).

Wolf will start vs. Minnesota on Thursday.

Devin Cooley has led the way for the Flames over the previous few weeks, but he struggled in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Nashville Predators, allowing Wolf the opportunity to re-seize the crease. The 24-year-old Wolf was serviceable in relief of Cooley on Tuesday, saving 11 of 12 shots (.917 SV%), but has struggled this season. He has a 3.16 GAA and .891 SV% in 21 games this season (6-12-2). The Flames enter Thursday's contest as +103 home underdogs against a red-hot Minnesota Wild team that is 8-0-2 in their last 10 games.

Cooley will start in Nashville on Tuesday.

The Flames were expected to heavily rely on Dustin Wolf after last year's impressive rookie season, but he has faltered out of the gates, resulting in the team leaning on Devin Cooley in recent weeks. The 28-year-old Cooley was excellent in his most recent game, but received no goal support, saving 16 of 17 shots (.941 SV%) in a 1-0 overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. Cooley has a sparkling 1.88 GAA and .930 SV% in 10 appearances this season (3-2-2). The Flames enter Tuesday's contest as slight +104 road underdogs against the league-worst Nashville Predators (8-13-4).

Cooley will start vs. Carolina on Sunday.

Devin Cooley only started once in Calgary’s first 11 games, but he has earned the trust of the coaching staff during a stretch of inconsistent play for Dustin Wolf, and returns to the crease for the fourth time in six games on Sunday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 28-year-old Cooley was excellent in his most recent game, saving 37 of 40 shots (.925 SV%) in a 5-3 win over the Florida Panthers. Cooley has a 2.01 GAA and .930 SV% in nine appearances this season (3-2-1).

Cooley will start in Florida on Friday.

Wolf has been outdone by his counterpart, allowing Cooley to see increased action in recent weeks, a trend that will continue on Friday against the Florida Panthers. The 28-year-old Cooley has a dazzling 1.86 GAA and .930 SV% in eight appearances this season (2-2-1). He has allowed more than two goals in a game only once this season.

Wolf will start in Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

After a horrendous start to the season, the Flames have played better lately, riding a season-best three-game winning streak, due largely to the strong play of backup netminder Devin Cooley. That said, the Flames hope for more consistency out of the 2024-25 runner-up for the Calder Trophy, as Wolf returns to the crease on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Wolf was excellent in his most recent game, saving 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%) in a 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks, but is sporting a subpar 3.02 GAA and .895 SV% through 19 games this season (6-11-2). The Flames enter their matchup against the Lightning on Wednesday as +163 road underdogs.
