Cooley will start in Florida on Friday.

Wolf has been outdone by his counterpart, allowing Cooley to see increased action in recent weeks, a trend that will continue on Friday against the Florida Panthers. The 28-year-old Cooley has a dazzling 1.86 GAA and .930 SV% in eight appearances this season (2-2-1). He has allowed more than two goals in a game only once this season.

Cooley will start in Buffalo on Wednesday.

Earlier in the season, the Flames were playing Dustin Wolf on both ends of back-to-backs, but have seemingly been more comfortable lately with Cooley, who will tend the twine on Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres. The 28-year-old Cooley has yet to record a win this season, but has been impressive in limited action, posting a 1.75 GAA and .935 SV% in five appearances (0-2-1). The Flames enter Wednesday's contest as +137 road underdogs against a Sabres team coming off a 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Earlier in the season, the Flames were playing Dustin Wolf on both ends of back-to-backs, but have seemingly been more comfortable lately with Cooley, who will likely tend the twine on Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres. The 28-year-old Cooley has yet to record a win this season, but has been impressive in limited action, posting a 1.75 GAA and .935 SV% in five appearances (0-2-1). Cooley will start in Ottawa on Thursday.

The Flames have heavily entrusted their crease to Dustin Wolf this season, starting 10 of 11 games, but he will get a rare night off on Thursday when the team turns to Cooley for only the second time. The 28-year-old Cooley was excellent in his only start of the season, saving 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%), but, as has been the case most of the season, the Flames did not receive ample goal support and fell 3-1 to the Utah Mammoth. The Flames enter Thursday's contest as +145 road underdogs against a Senators team scoring 3.7 goals per game.

Cooley will start in Utah on Wednesday.

The Flames turned to Dustin Wolf in both games of their first back-to-back set this season, but will flip the script on the tail end of their second back-to-back on Wednesday against the Utah Mammoth, giving Cooley his first start this season. The 28-year-old Cooley made his NHL debut last season, posting a much-to-be-desired 4.98 GAA and .870 SV% in six contests (2-3-1). If the first week of the season is any indication, Cooley's deployment could be very limited in 2025-26, as Wolf could easily surpass the 53 appearances he had in the crease in 2024-25.

Cooley has been recalled from the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) on an emergency basis.

With Dan Vladar (lower body) day-to-day, the Flames have recalled Cooley from the Calgary Wranglers (AHL). That said, if Vladar misses any time, Dustin Wolf will likely see all the action between the pipes for the Flames. The 27-year-old Cooley has a 1.80 GAA and .942 SV% in 18 games (14-3-0) with the Wranglers.

The Flames signed Devin Cooley to a two-year deal worth $1.55M ($775K AAV).

After making his NHL debut at the ripe age of 27 in 2023-24, Devin Cooley has earned himself a two-year, $1.55M contract ($775K AAV) from the Calgary Flames. The Californian netminder appeared in six games for San Jose at the end of the 2023-24 season, posting a 2-3-1 record, 4.98 GAA and a .870 SV%.

Cooley will start on Thursday in Calgary.

The Sharks will roll with Cooley between the pipes on Thursday despite a forgettable showing in his last outing. Cooley allowed eight goals on 22 shots (.636 SV%) on Monday in a 9-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers, snapping a two-game winning streak where he allowed only three goals combined. The Sharks enter action as +229 road underdogs on Thursday against the Calgary Flames.

Cooley will start on Monday vs. Edmonton.

The Sharks will turn to Cooley in the crease for the third time in the last six games on Monday against the Edmonton Oilers. Cooley has been tremendous in his last two starts, allowing two or fewer goals in each, including a sensational performance in his most recent outing, saving 49 of 50 shots (.980 SV%) in a 3-1 win over the Seattle Kraken. That said, the Sharks enter action as significant +428 road underdogs.

Cooley will start on Thursday in Seattle.

The Sharks have lost four of their last five and will turn to Cooley, who is responsible for their only victory in that stretch. Cooley was terrific in a 3-2 victory on April 6th against the St. Louis Blues, saving 34 of 36 shots (.944 SV%). The Sharks enter action as +214 road underdogs against a Seattle Kraken club that defeated them 4-2 earlier this month.
