Brzustewicz will return from a multi-game absence, drawing back into the lineup on Thursday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 21-year-old defenseman is averaging 13:42 time-on-ice and has one assist in 12 games this season.

He returned to contact drills at practice last week and will spend some time in the AHL on a conditioning loan before making his season debut with the Flames.

Wolf has allowed four goals in each of his last four games (0-4-0), posting a lowly .876 SV%, but hopes to rebound on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 24-year-old sophomore goalie has a 2.97 GAA and .897 SV% in 35 games this season (14-18-2). The Flames enter Tuesday's contest as +122 road underdogs against a Blue Jackets team that fired Head Coach Dean Evason yesterday following a 2-4-1 stretch.

Matt Rempe will be a healthy scratch on Monday, allowing Othmann to enter the lineup against the Seattle Kraken. The 23-year-old Othman has played six games for the Rangers this season and is still searching for his first point.

Brzustewicz played in two straight games but he will be replaced by Brayden Pachal in the lineup on Saturday. Since coming up from the AHL, Brzustewicz has just one assist in 12 games.

Pachal played 13:57 TOI on Monday but was a healthy scratch for the last two games. Today he'll replace Hunter Brzustewicz on the third pairing. Pachal has yet to score and has just three assists in 22 NHL games.

Stromgren played 8:04 TOI in his NHL debut on Wednesday but was a healthy scratch on Thursday. He'll replace Blake Coleman, who is day-to-day, on Saturday.

The Flames announced that Coleman would not play Saturday right before warmups started in Pittsburgh. He's considered day-to-day and will be replaced by William Stromgren in the lineup.

Backup Devin Cooley is reportedly ill and not quite feeling 100%, so Wolf will get the rare opportunity to make starts on back-to-back nights. Wolf took the loss in Montreal on Wednesday, allowing four goals on 35 shots in the 4-1 defeat. The 24-year-old netminder leads the league both in starts and losses heading into Thursday night's matchup, where the Flames enter action at +115 on the money line.

Parekh started the season in the NHL but struggled to acclimate before an injury sidelined him for a lengthy period. He was then sent to play for Team Canada at the U-20 World Junior Championship, where he excelled with 13 points (5G / 8A) in seven games. The Flames hope his bronze-medal success can give the 19-year-old some confidence whenever he returns from his injury.

After a horrendous 2-9-2 start to the season, the Flames have played reasonably well, going 16-11-2, and miraculously find themselves only five points shy of a playoff spot midway through the season. Wolf's performance has also seen an uptick during that time, posting a 2.45 GAA and .908 SV% in 22 games (12-8-1). That said, the 24-year-old sophomore goalie has allowed four goals in two straight (0-2-0) and hopes to rebound on Wednesday when the Flames visit a Montreal Canadiens team with points in eight of their last nine games (6-1-2). Montreal enters the game as a +131 road underdog.
