Quick has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the Red Wings and his move to IR means that he will have to miss at least one week. Jack Campbell will step in as the Kings’ temporary No.1 netminder with Peter Budaj serving as his backup until Quick is set to return. Brodzinski suffered a shoulder injury in Thursday’s preseason game and underwent surgery on Friday. Brodzinski was set to play on the Kings’ third-line but will miss now miss multiple months. His injury likely means that Jared Anderson-Dolan will make the opening night roster.
Sheary will miss the rest of the preseason but the Sabres expect their new winger to be ready for the first game of the season vs. the Bruins (Oct. 4). Sheary was projected to play in the Sabres’ top-6, but this injury could lead to him playing in the bottom-6 to start the season. Sheary will need to play with Jack Eichel or Casey Mittelstadt if he’s going to have any fantasy value this season.
