Borgen missed the Rangers' previous two games with an upper-body injury but will return to the lineup in Vegas on Tuesday. The 28-year-old defender will make a welcome addition back to the Rangers' lineup, with his three points (1G/2A), eight PIMs and +4 plus/minus in 18 games played this season.

Shesterkin will return to New York's crease after he took the night off on Sunday and will look to continue his personal three game winning streak in Vegas on Tuesday. The 29-year-old netminder has been back to his Vezina winning form of years previous in 2025-26, posting a 7-6-2 record with a 2.39 GAA and a .913 SV% in 15 starts this season. He heads to Vegas to take on the struggling Golden Knights, who have lost five of their last six games.

Borgen showed no signs of an injury in New York's most recent game, scoring his first goal of the season in a 7-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning, but was absent from practice on Friday, tending to an upper-body injury. It's unclear if he will be able to play on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Martin has cleared waivers and been assigned to Hartford (AHL).

The Rangers added some organizational goalie depth on Wednesday, signing Martin to a two-year contract. The 30-year-old goalie has primarily played in the AHL, but has a 3.56 GAA and .883 SV% in 66 career NHL games, mostly with the Vancouver Canucks and Carolina Hurricanes. He is will report to the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) after clearing waivers.

The Rangers have had a wildly inconsistent 2025-26 season, struggling to score, but have won two of their last three (2-1-0), and will turn to Shesterkin on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 29-year-old Shesterkin played well in his most recent outing, saving 27 of 30 shots (.900 SV%) in a 6-3 win over the Nashville Predators. He has a 2.46 GAA and .909 SV% in 13 games this season (5-6-1). The Rangers enter Wednesday's contest as +123 road underdogs against a Lightning team that has won seven of their last eight (7-1-0).

Trocheck (upper-body) is expected to return vs. Nashville on Monday.

Trocheck has not played since suffering an upper-body injury in the second game of the season, but will return to the lineup on Monday against the Nashville Predators. The 32-year-old Trocheck recorded 59 points (26G / 33A), 202 shots, and 214 hits in 82 games last season. Before his injury, he was playing on the team's top powerplay unit, but it appears that role has, at least temporarily, been taken by Will Cuylle.
