The Bruins have recalled Ryan Donato from Providence (AHL).

Donato was sent down at the start of November after picking up just one goal in his first 11 games of the season. Since going to Providence, the 22-year-old registered five goals and four assists (nine points) in 10 games. Donato could return to the Bruins lineup in a large role because Patrice Bergeron remains sidelined.

Weber has been activated from IR and will make his season debut on Tuesday.

Weber missed the first 24 games of the season but will make his debut vs. the Hurricanes on Tuesday. Weber will be back on the top pair and top power-play unit, which gives him immediate fantasy value. Weber is now 33-years-old but still owns a huge point shot. He had six goals and 16 points in 26 games last season, showcasing he can still be a double-digit goal-scorer with 20-plus assists if he stays healthy this season.

Weber (knee) is expected to make his season debut next Tuesday.

Canadiens head coach Claude Julien said that if things continue as they are, Weber could return next Tuesday vs. the Hurricanes. After Friday, Weber will have missed the first 23 games of the season after undergoing surgery in early-July. Weber had 16 points (6G / 10A) in 26 games last season, giving him 58 points (23G / 35A) in 104 games in two years with Montreal.

The Bruins sent Ryan Donato to Providence (AHL) on Thursday.

Donato was viewed as a young, breakout candidate in 2018-19, but has struggled early in the season. The former second-round pick had nine points in his first 12 games with the Bruins after leaving Harvard at the end of last season, but has picked up just one goal through 11 games this year. Donato will go to Providence to continue to develop and will likely return to Boston sometime in the near future.

Joey Anderson has been called up from Binghamton (AHL) and will make his NHL debut on Saturday.

Anderson was a third round pick of the Devils (No. 73 overall) in 2016 and turned pro this season after his sophomore season at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Anderson has collected five points (2G / 3A) in eight games with Binghamton this season and will make his NHL debut because Marcus Johansson is out with an illness. Anderson will skate on the fourth line with Kevin Rooney and Brian Boyle.
