With Spencer Knight (illness) still sidelined, the Blackhawks will turn to Commesso on Monday against the Utah Mammoth. The 23-year-old Commesso has been solid in a limited sample this season, posting a 2.50 GAA and .917 SV% in two outings (1-1-0). That said, Commesso has spent most of the season in the AHL, where he has a less impressive 3.07 GAA and .899 SV% in 28 games with the Rockford IceHogs. The Blackhawks enter Monday's contest as +186 home underdogs against a Mammoth team whose only loss in their last five games was against the Blackhawks, 4-0 on March 1st.

Lafferty has not played since January 30th, but he will make his return on Monday against the Utah Mammoth. The 31-year-old Lafferty has two points (1G / 1A) and is averaging 8:54 time-on-ice through 19 games in primarily a fourth-line role.

Knight has not played since March 3rd due to an illness and will miss at least one more game. The Blackhawks have alternated between Arvid Soderblom and Drew Commesso during Knight's absence.

Soderblom is a surprise starter on Friday night, filling in for Spencer Knight, who is out with an illness. The fact that Soderblom is coming off his first career NHL shutout does definitely soften the blow of Knight's absence. The 26-year-old Soderblom stopped every shot he faced in a 4-0 win in Utah on Sunday. Soderblom carries a 6-9-2 record and an .879 SV% into Friday night's matchup, where the Hawks enter action at -160 on the money line.

Pouliot, an NHL veteran of 226 games, has almost exclusively played in the AHL over the past three seasons. The 32-year-old forward scored 28 points (2G / 26A) in 52 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) this season.

Kaiser has not played since February 4th, but will make his return from a lower-body injury on Friday against the Vancouver Canucks. The 23-year-old defenseman is averaging 19:10 time-on-ice and has 12 points (5G / 7A) in 57 games this season.

The Blackhawks acquired Mangiapane from the Oilers along with a conditional 2027 first-round pick in exchange for forwards Jason Dickinson and Colton Dach on Wednesday. The 29-year-old Mangiapane had a disappointing campaign with the Oilers and hopes a fresh start with the Blackhawks will serve him well. He scored 14 points (7G / 7A) in 52 games with the Oilers this season.

Korchinski has spent almost all of 2025-26 in the AHL, where he has 23 points (2G / 21A) in 45 games with Rockford. With Wyatt Kaiser being activated from IR, Korchinski will return to the AHL. He has six goals and 12 assists (18 points) in 94 career NHL games.

Mangiapane's brief and disappointing career as an Oiler comes to an abrupt end on Wednesday, with the Oilers shipping him and a first-round draft pick out in exchange for forwards Jason Dickinson and Colton Dach. Mangiapane just couldn't find his footing in Edmonton after signing a two-year, $7.2-million contract in the off-season. The 29-year-old winger scored just seven times in 52 games and struggled to even hold a place in Edmonton's lineup toward the end of his Oilers tenure. Luckily for Mangiapane, he should be afforded plenty of ice time and opportunity to rediscover his game on a young and upcoming Chicago team.

Knight was terrific in his previous outing, saving 32 of 34 shots (.941 SV%), but did not receive ample goal support, losing 3-1 to the league-leading Colorado Avalanche. The 24-year-old Knight will hope to build on his strong performance, his first time allowing fewer than three goals in eight games (2-5-1). The Blackhawks enter the action on Tuesday as +139 road underdogs against a Winnipeg Jets team that has lost four of its last five games (1-2-2).
