The Avalanche start a three-game road trip Friday in Vancouver but Burakovsky did not join the team for the star of the trip. This isn't that surprising since Colorado already said that he would likely miss a few more games but head coach Jared Bednar said he could join the team at some point.

Burakovsky did not come out for Colorado's morning skate and will not play tonight vs. the Ducks. Head coach Jared Bednar expects him to miss a few more games, so don't expect to see him Friday in Vancouver or Sunday in San Jose. Vladislav Namestnikov will remain on the top line with Burakovsky out.

Burakovsky will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury and head coach Jared Bednar called him "day-to-day." With Burakovsky out, Vladislav Namestnikov is expected to be on the top line with Nathan MacKinnon.



Burakovsky has missed the last two games with an illness but head coach Jared Bednar said that Burakovsky "could play tonight" in Carolina. Burakovsky has been excellent in the last month and a half, posting 20 points (7G / 13A) in his last 17 games.

Burakovsky is expected to miss his second straight game with an illness. Burakovsky was on the ice in a non-contact jersey on Tuesday but is not expected to play vs. the Sabres. With Burakovsky out, Valeri Nichushkin is expected to skate on the top line with Nathan MacKinnon.

Brossoit stopped 29 of 30 shots in the Jets’ win in Ottawa last Thursday. Brossoit has been terrific in his last two starts, going 2-0-0 while stopping 54 of the 57 shots (.947 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he faces a Capitals team that has gone 2-4-1 while averaging 3.43 goals for and 4.29 goals against in their last seven home games.

Both Lafferty and Anthony Angello were returned to the AHL on Monday after the Penguins added a trio of forwards at the deadline. Lafferty has spent most of the season in Pittsburgh, scoring six goals with seven assists (13 points) in 46 games.
