Bussi has been one of the NHL's best stories in 2025-26 after being claimed off waivers by Carolina from Boston in the offseason and has earned himself a three-year, $1.9 million contract extension ($5.7 million total). The 27-year-old holds a ridiculous 23-3-1 record this season to go alongside his 2.16 GAA and .908 SV%. He is expected to be apart of Carolina's future in tandem with Pyotr Kochetkov.

Andersen allowed three goals on 26 shots in Denmark's 3-1 loss to Germany in their tournament opener. He sat for the USA game, but will be back between the pipes vs. Latvia. The game is basically a coin flip but Denmark enters 0-2 and Latvia comes in at 1-1.

Jarvis was a healthy scratch for Canada's tournament opener, but he will give veteran Brad Marchand a night off vs. Switzerland. Jarvis is having another great season for Carolina (25G / 18A in 49 games) but had just one assist in three games for Canada at the 4Nations tournament last Spring.

It has been a very difficult season for Andersen, who is 7-10-5 with a 3.26 GAA and .871 SV% for the Carolina Hurricanes. Still, he enters the Olympics as Denmark's No.1 goalie after a fantastic performance for them during the Olympic qualifiers. He was 3-0-0 with a 1.31 GAA and .938 SV% in three games.

He has zero point in two games with Carolina and has not played since suffering a concussion on January 6th.

Nystrom impressed in his NHL debut earlier this season, benefitting from injuries and scoring nine points (1G / 8A) in 37 games with the Hurricanes. Carolina has recalled him after spending the past few weeks with the Chicago Wolves (AHL).

Gostisbehere has missed several multi-week stints this season, most recently being sidelined since January 13th because of a lower-body injury. That said, when healthy, the 32-year-old Gostisbehere has been one of the most productive blueliners this season, scoring 32 points (6G / 26A) in 35 games. He will return to action and resume his role as the quarterback on Carolina's top powerplay unit on Thursday against the Utah Mammoth.
