Pospisil will return on Tuesday from his three-game suspension.

Pospisil was suspended for three games after delivering a high hit on Seattle Kraken defenseman Vince Dunn. The Slovak-born Pospisil has six goals and nine assists in 45 games this season and will return to the Flames' lineup on Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche.

Okhotyuk will help fill out a Flames' defensive core that is less robust than it was a few weeks ago after dealing away Chris Tanev and Noah Hanifin in trades before the deadline. The 23-year-old Okhotyuk registered eight points (1G / 7A), 126 hits, and 72 blocks while averaging 16:27 time-on-ice through 43 games with the San Jose Sharks.

With the Dallas Stars acquiring Chris Tanev, Hanley became disposable for the Stars and was placed on waivers, then claimed by the Flames on Tuesday. The 32-year-old Hanley has three points (0G / 3A), 35 hits, and 32 blocks in 32 games this season.

The Blue Jackets opted for an 11-forward, seven-defensemen formation on Tuesday but will return to the traditional formation on Thursday as Bean will be a healthy scratch, allowing Kiril Marchenko to draw back into the lineup. Bean played 13:26 time-on-ice on Tuesday, tallying one assist.

Calgary has signed Daniil Miromanov to a two-year, $2.5 million ($1,250,000 AAV) contract extension.

Miromanov was acquired by Calgary earlier on Wednesday as part of the Noah Hanifin deal and has signed a two-year, $2.5 million contract extension with the Flames. The 26-year-old Russian defensemen had only appeared in four games with Vegas in 2023-24 after missing most of the season due to an undisclosed injury, failing to pick up a point while collecting six SOG and a -2 plus/minus.

The Flames acquired Daniil Miromanov in a three-team trade that included the Golden Knights and Flyers.

The Flames gave up Noah Hanifin to get Miromanov, a conditional 2025 first-round pick and a conditional third-round pick from the Golden Knights. Calgary retained 50 percent of Hanifin's contract. Miromanov, who will be an RFA at the end of the season, has played in just four NHL games this season, but has seven points (2G / 5A) in 29 career NHL games (all with Vegas).

He was acquired via trade on Wednesday in a move that saw Chris Tanev dealt to the Dallas Stars.
