Gibson will start in Washington on Saturday.

Detroit is coming off a 4-1 loss to the Utah Mammoth, but they have been excellent lately when relying on John Gibson, who will return to the crease on Saturday against the Washington Capitals. The 32-year-old Gibson struggled early in his tenure with the Red Wings, but is sporting an exceptional 1.65 GAA and .946 SV% in his last five games (5-0-0).

John Gibson
Jarry (lower-body) is heading back to Edmonton to be further evaluated.

Just one week after acquiring Jarry in a trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Oilers are already facing a scare in the crease after he left Thursday's 3-1 win over the Boston Bruins late in the second period. If Jarry misses any time, expect Calvin Pickard to occupy the Oilers' crease. Jarry is returning to Edmonton to be further evaluated and is likely ruled out of Saturday's game in Minnesota.

Tristan Jarry
Kozak is not practicing on Friday after leaving the Sabres' last game with an upper-body injury.

Kozak was limited to only 4:46 time-on-ice in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers, exiting the game with an upper-body injury. The 22-year-old Kozak has four points (2G / 2A) in 24 games this season.

Tyson Kozak
Rodrigues (lower-body) will play vs. Carolina on Friday.

Rodrigues left Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings due to a lower-body injury and did not return, but he will be ready to suit up on Friday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 32-year-old Rodrigues has 16 points (8G / 8A) in 33 games this season.

Evan Rodrigues
Seguin underwent succesful surgery on a torn ACL in his right leg and will be reevaluated after the Olympic break.

Seguin has not played since suffering a torn ACL at the beginning of December and will be out indefinitely after undergoing surgery. It's all but certain that Seguin's season is over, but the team will reevaluate him to see if returning in the postseason is a viable option. The 33-year-old Seguin was off to a decent start to the 2025-26 season, scoring 17 points (7G / 10A) in 27 games, but, unfortunately, has become familiar with seasons being cut short by injuries. Seguin missed 62 games due to injury in 2024-25.

Tyler Seguin
Chabot (undisclosed) is expected to return vs. Chicago on Saturday.

Chabot has only played one game in the last five weeks, but has practiced the last several days and anticipates returning to the lineup on Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 28-year-old Chabot is averaging 21:55 time-on-ice and has 10 points (2G / 8A) in 18 games this season. Chabot played 80 games last season, unfortunately, an irregularity for the talented defenseman who has had trouble staying healthy in recent seasons.

Thomas Chabot
Barzal (maintenance) will be a game-time decision vs. Vancouver.

Barzal is likely battling a nagging injury, as he was a game-time decision earlier this week as well, despite still drawing into the lineup. The 28-year-old Barzal is riding a five-game point streak, scoring five points (1G / 4A), and hopes he will be able to suit up again on Friday against the Vancouver Canucks.

Mathew Barzal
Bobrovsky will start vs. Carolina on Friday.

The Panthers are riding a three-game winning streak and have been receiving solid netminding from Bobrovsky, who will return to the crease on Friday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 37-year-old Bobrovsky has been inconsistent this season, but has an impressive 1.75 GAA and .932 SV% in his last three games (3-0-0). The Panthers enter the action on Friday as +117 home underdogs against a Hurricanes team on a five-game winning streak.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Jarry left Thursday’s game vs. Boston with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Expect the Oilers to provide an update on Jarry before they return to the ice on Saturday against the Minnesota Wild.

Tristan Jarry
Daccord will start in Calgary on Thursday.

The Kraken will hand the reigns to Daccord for the 21st time this season when they host the Stars on Thursday. Daccord's last start came on Sunday and he was unfortunate to be tagged with the loss despite allowing just two goals on 22 shots, as the Kraken fell to the Sabres by a score of 3-1. The 29-year-old netminder carries an 8-8-4 record and .893 SV% into Thursday night's matchup, where the Kraken enter action at +175 on the money line.

Joey Daccord
Perreault will draw into the Rangers lineup on Thursday.

Perreault will slot into the lineup in place of Artemi Panarin, who is out with an illness. The 20-year-old Perreault recorded one assists in three games with the Rangers earlier this season, but has spent most of the campaign in the AHL, where he has 17 points (10G / 7A) in 20 games with Hartford.

Gabriel Perreault
Panarin (illness) will not play in St. Louis on Thursday.

The Rangers will be without Panarin for Thursday's game due to an illness. After an uncharacteristically slow start to the season, with seven points (2G / 5A) in his first 14 games, Panarin has returned to his elite point-producing form in recent weeks, with 27 points (9G / 18A) in his last 21 games.

Artemi Panarin
Shesterkin will start in St. Louis on Thursday.

The Rangers are amazingly coming off being shutout for the seventh time in 17 home games (4-10-3), but return to the road, where they have thrived this season (12-5-1). Shesterkin has allowed three or more goals in four straight games (1-2-1), posting a 3.30 GAA and .881 SV%, and hopes to return to the elite form that justified him becoming the highest-paid goalie in NHL history. The 29-year-old Shesterkin has a 2.55 GAA and .908 SV% in 27 games this season (13-11-3). The Rangers enter Thursday's contest as -131 road favorites against a Blue team that played last night, defeating the Winnipeg Jets 1-0.

Igor Shesterkin
Timmins (undisclosed) took full part in warmups and is expected to play against the Flyers on Thursday.

Timmins is battling an undisclosed injury but it appears he will avoid missing his first game of the season. The 27-year-old defenseman is averaging 19:20 time-on-ice, recording 69 blocks, 23 hits, and six assists in 32 games.
