The Blues have recalled Ivan Barbashev from Chicago (AHL).

Barbashev, 21, was a second round pick (No. 33 overall) in 2014 and this is his first NHL call-up. With Kyle Brodziak out for five weeks, Barbashev will get a chance to make his NHL debut. The Russian centre has picked up 19 goals and 18 assists (37 points) in 44 games with Chicago this season.

Eichel (ankle) was a full participant in Monday’s practice; could make his NHL debut on Tuesday.

Eichel has not played in a game this season because of a preseason ankle injury, but he skated on the second line and on the top power-play at Monday’s practice. Head coach Dan Bylsma said it is possible for Eichel to make his debut tomorrow, so monitor his status during the morning skate.
