Price snapped a three-game losing streak in impressive fashion, moving to 3-1-2 with a 2.49 GAA, .922 SV% and one shutout on the road this season. He will look to string wins together tonight vs. a Canucks team that has lost four in a row.

Klingberg (hand) will miss at least five weeks.

Klingberg underwent surgery on his hand last Friday and will miss at least five weeks. Klingberg’s original timetable was “one month,” but head coach Jim Montgomery said he would “take that deal” if Klingberg was out for six weeks. This puts Klingberg on-pace to return in late-December/early-January which will give Miro Heiskanen an extended run on the Stars top-pairing and top power-play unit.

Brossoit will start Friday vs. the Sabres.

Brossoit allowed one goal on 28 shots in the Jets win in Detroit on October 26th. Connor Hellebuyck has started the last six games, but Brossoit will give him a breather tonight vs. the Sabres. Brossoit has been impressive, going 3-0-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .957 SV% in his first three starts with the Jets.

Price allowed six goals on 31 shots in the Canadiens loss to the Sabres last Thursday. Price has been a disaster as of late, allowing three-plus goals in five straight games. He is a on a three-game losing streak, having allowed a combined 15 goals on 99 shots (.849 SV%). Next up is a Flames team that is tied for 16th (3.11 GF/pg) in goal-scoring.

Klingberg was forced to leave Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury that he suffered while blocking a shot. The Stars immediately announced that he will miss at least three weeks, which is a huge blow. Miro Heiskanen gets a massive bump in fantasy value as he takes over as their primary power-play defenseman.

Price surrendered five goals on 32 shots in the Canadiens loss in New York on Tuesday. Price started the season 4-1-2 with a 2.13 GAA, .922 SV% and one shutout, but has lost three of his last four starts with a 4.03 GAA and .867 SV%. Price will try to get back on track against a Sabres team that has lost four of their last five games.

Antti Niemi started the front-end of the Habs back-to-back last night in Brooklyn, so Price will start tonight vs. the Rangers. The 31-year-old is 2-0-2 with a 1.97 GAA, .930 SV% and one shutout on the road this season.

Price allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Canadiens loss to Dallas on Tuesday. It was a rare bad outing for Price, who was fantastic in the first month of the season. The 31-year-old enters Thursday’s game at 4-2-2 with a 2.24 GAA and .915 SV% on the season, including a 2-2-0, 2.51 GAA and .898 SV% on home-ice.

Price stopped all 33 shots that he faced in the Canadiens shutout win in Boston on Saturday. It was an outstanding outing for Price, who has now won two in a row and three of the last four while posting a 1.98 GAA and .930 SV%. Tonight the Canadiens will host a Stars team that is 0-3-0 on the road this season.

Gaudette was a healthy scratch on Saturday, but was on the second power-play unit in Sunday’s practice. That kind of participation suggests that Gaudette will be back in the lineup vs. the Wild. Through his first two starts as a Winnipeg Jet, Brossoit has turned away an impressive 84 of 88 shots (.955 SV%) two win both games. He should be able to continue his roll tonight in Detroit—the Red Wings are 1-6-2 while averaging the fourth fewest goals (2.22) in the league.

Tonight he will make his third start on home-ice, where he’s stopped 49 of 54 shots (.907 SV%) this year. The Canadiens welcome in a Flames team that is fifth in the NHL in goals per game (3.75).
