Klingberg (lower-body) will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his injury; expected to miss at least two weeks.

Toffoli will be back in the Kings lineup on Saturday.

Toffoli served as a healthy scratch against the Canucks on Wednesday but will play against Chicago on Saturday. Toffoli will skate on a line with Blake Lizotte and Ilya Kovalchuk and re-enters the lineup with five points (3G / 2A) in 12 games.

Tyler Toffoli
Toffoli is expected to be a healthy scratch on Wednesday.

Toffoli has not registered a point in four straight games and was an ugly minus-4 during the Kings' loss in Chicago on Sunday. Toffoli rotated on the Kings' fourth line in Tuesday's practice, suggesting that he will come out of the lineup vs. the Canucks.

The Senators have placed Colin White (hip flexor) on IR; expected to miss 3-to-5 weeks.

This is a huge blow to an already thin Senators lineup. White ranked fifth among Senators' forwards in ice-time (17:51) but has had a slow start, scoring one goal with one assist in eight games. The Senators have a busy schedule coming up so missing 3-to-5 weeks will mean missing 10-to-17 games for White. Logan Brown was recalled from Belleville (AHL) to take his spot on the roster.

The Red Wings have recalled Evgeny Svechnikov from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Svechnikov has scored one goal with three assists (four points) in three games with the Griffins this season. He has been called-up once already but has not made his season debut with the Red Wings. With Adam Erne out, there's a hole in the Red Wings' middle-6 but it's unclear whether or not Svechnikov will fill it on Tuesday. He has four points (2G / 2A) in 16 career NHL games.

Leddy will be a game-time decision on Friday.

Leddy missed Thursday’s practice but was back on the ice for Friday’s morning skate and will be a game-time decision. Head coach Barry Trotz did not disclose what Leddy is dealing with, other than to say “he’s Goa little bit of a nagging thing.” Johnny Boychuk would slide back into the lineup if Leddy can’t play.

Grundstrom is expected to make his season debut on Tuesday.

Grundstrom was a healthy scratch in the Kings season opener but is expected to replace Austin Wagner tonight in Calgary. Grundstrom, who had five goals and one assist in 15 games with the Kings last season, is expected to skate on the third line with Blake Lizotte and Tyler Toffoli.

The Red Wings have recalled Evgeny Svechnikov from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Svechnikov had his 2018-19 season cut short after undergoing right knee surgery in mid-October. He started the season with the Griffins and had three points (1G / 2A) in the first game of the season. The 2015 first-round pick (No.19 overall) has four points (2G / 2A) in 16 career NHL games.

The Senators have signed Colin White to a six-year deal worth $28.75 million ($4.792M AAV).

During his first full NHL season, White had 14 goals and 27 assists (41 points) in 71 games. White averaged 16:12 TOI/gm while carrying a +3.4 CF% rel on the league’s worst team. White is set to start 2020 as the Senators No.1 centre and should build off of 2019 as he should play 17-18 minutes per night.
