Couture is expected to return to the Sharks roster and make his season debut Saturday vs Anaheim which will provide a sizeable boost given that Mikael Granlund will be out of the lineup week-to-week due to an upper-body injury. The 34-year-old was originally only expected to miss a few games to start the season but badly reaggravated his injury and has missed the Sharks' first 45 games. He is coming off a 67-point (27G/40A) season in 2022-23 and hasn't played less than 48 games in a season since 2009-10.

Bowers played the last three games for the Devils, being held without a point while averaging under seven minutes time-on-ice. The 24-year-old Bowers will return to the Utica Comets of the AHL, where he has seven points (6G / 1A) in 29 games this season.

Due to some strong play, Nedeljkovic has become a fixture in the Penguins' crease over the last month and will start for the fourth time in the last six games on Thursday. Nedeljkovic allowed five goals on 29 shots (.828 SV%), a 6-5 victory over the Boston Bruins on January 4th, but has been nearly unbeatable otherwise, allowing only one goal in three of his last four starts, posting a .933 SV%. The Penguins are -126 home favourites against the Vancouver Canucks, who are riding a three-game winning streak, outscoring their opposition 17-9.

Despite scoring two points (1G / 1A) for the Sabres on Tuesday night, Skinner suffered an upper-body injury at some point and, after receiving an MRI on Wednesday, has been deemed week-to-week with an upper-body injury. Expect JJ Peterka to be the main beneficiary, as he was stellar earlier this season during a brief stint where Skinner was out of the lineup.

Ty Emberson will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Vlasic to play for only the second time since the Christmas break. In his last contest, Vlasic played under 12 minutes, recorded a -1 plus/minus, and fired two shots on goal.

Thompson made his NHL debut Sunday vs. Boston and got one shot on goal across 14 shifts and 11:39 TOI but will return to Syracuse (AHL) Monday. The 21-year-old was returned to the minors as Erik Cernak (upper body) likely returns to Tampa Bay's lineup Tuesday.

Nedeljkovic will start for the third time in the last five games for the Penguins on Monday night. Despite a poor showing in his last appearance, allowing five goals on 29 shots (.828 SV%) in a 6-5 victory over the Boston Bruins, the Penguins coaching staff has been confident rolling with Nedeljkovic over the last month. Over his last five games (3-1-1), Nedeljkovic has allowed only one goal three times, posting a .902 SV%. The Penguins are -123 home favourites against the Philadelphia Flyers, whom they went 0-0-2 against last month.

Declan Carlile and Sean Day have both been reassigned to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL, prompting the Lightning to recall Thompson and Emil Martinsen-Lilleberg. In 31 games with Syracuse (AHL), Thompson has 20 points (2G / 18A).

Vlasic will replace the injured Kyle Burroughs (lower-body). Vlasic has no goals and just one assist in 18 games this season.

Nedeljkovic has been terrific when called upon this season and will start for the second time in the last three games on Thursday when the Penguins visit the Boston Bruins. Nedeljkovic entered Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Washington Capitals in relief, saving 14 of 15 shots (.933 SV%), and has only allowed two goals on the last 53 shots he's faced (.962 SV%). The Penguins, winners of three of their last four (3-1-0), are +132 road underdogs against a Bruins squad that has won four straight.

Dellandrea will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Radek Faksa to draw back into the lineup. After being a healthy scratch in four straight games, Dellandrea played two straight, scoring zero points and registering one shot on goal.
