Skinner will start Thursday's game in San Jose.

With the surprise waiving of Jack Campbell earlier this week Stuart Skinner is now the Oilers' starter and will take the crease Thursday vs. San Jose. The 25-year-old was an All-Star last season but has been horrendous so far in 2023-24, with his 1-4-1 record, .856 SV% and 3.99 GAA. He takes on the historically struggling San Jose Sharks, who snapped an 11-game losing streak with a victory last game over PHI and are last in the NHL in both shots per game (24.8) and goals per game (1.17).

Anthony Mantha (upper body) is day-to-day and will miss the next two games after not traveling to New York.

Mantha is coming off his best performance of the season, scoring two goals but exiting in the third period after suffering an upper-body injury. He will miss at least the next two games and could be replaced by Michael Sgarbossa, who was recalled by the Capitals earlier in the week.

Joel Blomqvist has been recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

The Penguins have recalled Blomqvist from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL as Tristan Jarry is day-to-day after suffering an undisclosed injury on Tuesday. Magnus Hellberg is expected to fill in for Jarry in his absence and will be backed up by Blomqvist in the interim. In seven games at the AHL level (4-2-0), Blomqvist has a 1.91 GAA and .920 SV%.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard (lower body) took part in Montreal's morning skate but won't play vs. Tampa Bay.

Harvey-Pinard appears to be inching closer to a return but will remain out of the Canadiens' lineup on Tuesday. Harvey-Pinard hasn't played since leaving Thursday's contest against the Arizona Coyotes with a lower-body injury after just six shifts and 5:06 TOI. The 24-year-old has yet to score this season but has four assists, nine SOG, and two PIMs in 10 games played before his injury.

Skinner will draw his third start in four games Monday after taking a breather for Saturday's loss vs. Nashville. The 25-year-old was an All-Star in 2022-23 but has been horrendous this season, with his 1-3-1 record, .861 SV% and 3.62 GAA. He takes on the red-hot Vancouver Canucks on the road Monday, who have won three straight games and lead the NHL in goals per game (4.36).

The 25-year-old was an All-Star in 2022-23 but has been horrendous this season, with his 1-3-1 record, .861 SV% and 3.62 GAA. He takes on the red-hot Vancouver Canucks on the road Monday, who have won three straight games and lead the NHL in goals per game (4.36).

Harvey-Pinard (lower-body) will not play Saturday in St. Louis and is considered day-to-day.

Harvey-Pinard left Montreal's game vs. Arizona Thursday with a lower-body injury after just six shifts and 5:06 TOI and is now considered day-to-day and will not play Saturday vs. St Louis. The 24-year-old has yet to score this season but has four assists, nine SOG, and two PIMs in 10 games played prior to his injury.

Connor Clifton will return from a two-game suspension Friday vs. Philadelphia.

Clifton was suspended for two games for an illegal check to the head of Nico Hiscier on October 27th. Clifton skated alongside Erik Johnson on the third pair in Thursday's practice, which is where he will likely suit up when he returns to the lineup on Friday vs. the Flyers. Prior to the suspension, Clifton had one assist, a minus-6 rating, 12 SOG and 23 hits in eight games.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard (undisclosed) is day-to-day after leaving the Canadiens' game Thursday in the second period.

Harvey-Pinard played only 5:06 before needing to leave the game with an undisclosed injury. Entering Thursday night's game, Harvey-Pinard was averaging 14:23 time-on-ice and had four points (0G / 4A) in nine games. Alex Newhook jumped onto the top line to replace Harvey-Pinard after his exit.

Clifton was suspended for two games for an illegal check to the head of Nico Hiscier on October 27th. Clifton skated alongside Erik Johnson on the third pair in Thursday's practice, indicating that he'll be back in the lineup on Friday vs. the Flyers. The 25-year-old was an All-Star in his rookie season in 2022-23, but has struggled thus far this season as he is 1-2-1 with a .863 SV% and 3.51 GAA. He takes on the red-hot Dallas Stars, who have points in all but one of their games this season (6-1-1) but are 18th in the NHL in goals per game (3.13) and 21st in shots per game (29.8).

Parker Wotherspoon will make his season debut Thursday vs. Toronto.

Wotherspoon was recalled Wednesday after putting up an assist, six PIMs, and a -1 plus/minus in six games with Providence (AHL) and will make his Boston Bruins debut Thursday vs. Toronto. The 26-year-old defensemen signed a one-year, $775,000 deal with Boston in the offseason and has an assist, 10 SOG, four PIMs and a +5 plus/minus in 12 career games played after debuting in 2022-23 with the New York Islanders.

Parker Wotherspoon has been recalled from Providence (AHL).

Wotherspoon was recalled along with Mason Lohrei and Ian Mitchell to give the Bruins options on their blueline as they will be without Charlie McAvoy (suspension) and Matt Grzelcyk (upper body). Wotherspoon was a fourth-round pick of the New York Islanders in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and played his first 12 NHL games with the Islanders last season, recording one point (0G / 1A) four penalty minutes, and a +5 plus/minus rating.
