The Senators have recalled Maxence Guenette from Belleville (AHL).

Guenette had four goals, 34 assists, 23 PIMs and a -17 plus/minus in 69 games with the Belleville Senators (AHL) and has been recalled to Ottawa Tuesday for the first time in his career. The 21-year-old has yet to see any NHL action in his career and was Ottawa's 2019 seventh-round pick (187th overall).

The Kings have reassigned Jordan Spence to Ontario (AHL).

Spence had an assist, six SOG and a +1 plus/minus through six games with Los Angeles but has been reassigned to Ontario (AHL) Monday. The 22-year-old returns to Ontario, where he had four goals, 38 assists, 34 PIMs and a -15 plus/minus through 53 games this season prior to his call up.

Sogaard will start Monday vs. the Hurricanes.

Sogaard allowed four goals on 18 shots (.778 SV%) as he took the no-contest in a two-period relief appearance in his previous start. The 22-year-old rookie has struggled in his short-showing this season, with his 7-6-2 record, 3.37 GAA and .887 SV%. He takes on the Carolina Hurricanes, who have lost their last two-games but are third in the NHL in shots per game (34.9).

Spence had four goals, 38 assists, 34 PIMs and a -15 plus/minus through 53 games played with the Ontario Reign (AHL) and has been recalled to the Los Angeles Kings Wednesday. The 22-year-old returns to Los Angeles, where he had an assist, six SOG, and a +3 plus/minus through five games this season.

Leevi Merilainen will start Tuesday vs. Carolina.

Merilainen was 18-13-7 with a .918 SV% and 2.02 GAA with Karpat (Liiga) this season and has earned his first NHL callup and start Tuesday. The 20-year-old was the Senators' 2020 third-round pick (71 overall) and will be making his NHL debut vs. Carolina, who has won their last two games and are third in the NHL in shots per game (34.9).

Tkachuk left the morning skate early and could be one of the Senators game-time decisions on Tuesday.

The Senators announced that they have two or three game-time decisions on Tuesday but did not disclose who those players were. Tkachuk appeared to be banged up in their last game and left the morning skate early, so Tkachuk may be one of the players in question this evening.
