Chabot was not able to complete Saturday's game, his second game after a 10-game absence due to a hand injury, exiting late in the third period after playing 22:29 with a lower-body injury and has been placed on the Long-Term Injured Reserve Thursday. In the two games, Chabot scored one point (0G / 1A) and eight shots on goal while quarterbacking the Senators' top powerplay unit. He is expected to be out a minimum of four weeks.

Ullmark played very well in his last contest, saving 37 of 40 shots (.925 SV%) in a 4-3 overtime victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Before that, Ullmark allowed nine goals on 60 shots (.850 SV%) in consecutive losing appearances but will look to string together strong performances as the Bruins are sizeable -275 home favourites against the Buffalo Sabres. In Ullmark's last contest against his former team, he saved 32 of 34 shots (.941 SV%) in a 5-2 victory on November 14th.

Lycksell had 12 goals, seven assists, four PIMs, and a -1 plus/minus in 21 games with Lehigh Valley (AHL) and has been recalled Tuesday. He will replace Noah Cates, who was placed on the Injured Reserve in a corresponding move.

Chabot and the Senators are awaiting his MRI results, hoping for positive news, as any prolonged absence for Chabot will be a disheartening blow for the team after just recently re-welcoming him back into the lineup. He was not able to complete Saturday's game, his second game after a 10-game absence due to a hand injury, exiting late in the third period after playing 22:29 with an undisclosed injury. Greig was having a tremendous season before being derailed by a lower-body injury that has forced him to miss the last 10 games. He has seven points (2G / 5A) and 18 shots on goal through nine games this season and is expected to skate alongside Dominik Kubalik and Mathieu Joseph in his return to the lineup against the New York Rangers on Tuesday.

With Charlie Lindgren (illness) fully returning to Capitals' activities Monday Hunter Shepard has been loaned by to the Hershey Bears (AHL). The 28-year-old netminder returns to Hershey (AHL) where he was impressively 9-1-0 before his call up but unimpressively had a .898 SV% and 2.66 GAA in 10 games played.

Greig has missed the last 10 games with a lower-body injury but anticipates playing on Tuesday. The Senators most recently played with an 11-forward, seven-defenseman formation, meaning that Erik Branstrom or Jacon Bernard-Docker are the likely candidates to be healthy scratched for Greig's return. Before his injury, the 21-year-old Greig had seven points (2G / 5A) in nine games, playing predominantly with Vladimir Tarasenko and Mathieu Joseph.
