Soucy has not played since suffering a hand injury on January 20th and has been retroactively placed on Injured Reserve. A steadying presence on the blue line, Soucy has been limited to only 21 games this season due to an earlier lower-body injury and is three weeks into his original five-to-six-week prognosis. The 29-year-old has six points (2G / 4A), 21 hits, and 39 blocks this season.

Tyler Pitlick will be a healthy scratch on Monday, allowing Edstrom to re-enter the Rangers' lineup, his second game of the season. On December 15th, Edstrom made his NHL debut, scoring one goal on three shots while playing 9:39 time-on-ice.

Dowling will make his Devils' debut on Thursday, having not appeared in the NHL since playing 22 games with Vancouver in the 2021-22 season. Maxwell Willman will sit in his place.
