Dillon was acquired from the Stars on Friday and despite his equipment not making it to San Jose this morning, he is expected to play tonight vs. the Coyotes. Dillon’s defence partner will likely be fluid for a while until the coaches can decide where he fits best.
Dillon, 24, is a big-boy at 6-foot-3, 225 lbs. and bring some size and physicality to the Sharks blueline. Demers is a better puck-moving defenseman, but Dillon is two years younger and the Sharks have a number of young offensive blueliners in their system. Dillon will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.

Tatar left a game last week after being kneed in the head by a linesman. There has been no reports of Tatar struggling with headaches or anything, so expect him to be ready to go in the Red Wings' season opener on Thursday.
