Markstrom has not played an NHL game yet this season, but has performed admirably at the AHL level, going 17-7-2 with a 1.95 GAA and .932 SV% in 26 games with Utica. He will face the Sharks, who sit just five points behind them in the Pacific Division.

Bjugstad was listed as questionable with an undisclosed injury and the belief was that Vincent Trocheck was recalled to replace Bjugstad, but he will be in for Dave Bolland and Bjugstad is good to go. The 22-year-old has five goals in his last nine games.

He comes into tonight at 13-5-2 with a 2.65 GAA and .900 SV% on the season. The Blues are red-hot, so Allen is a great start against the NHL’s 29th ranked offence.

He has lost each of his last three starts while allowing a combined 12 goals, but a strong outing on Saturday and a great matchup tonight should help get him back on track. He made 13 saves in a 4-3 OT win in his first start against Edmonton.
