Foligno has been out since March 12th but will return to the lineup on Monday, when he is expected to be reunited with Joel Eriksson Ek and Jordan Greenway. In the first 25 games of the season when Foligno was available, the Wild were 16-8-1 but were 8-5-2 without him over the last month.

Foligno, who was the Blue Jackets' captain, is known for being a great leader who plays a very reliable two-way game. At age-33, Foligno doesn't offer much in the way of offence anymore but will stabilize the Maple Leafs' middle-6 and can move up the lineup in a pinch. He has seven goals and nine assists (16 points) in 42 games this season. The Blue Jackets are retaining 50 percent of his contract and the Sharks are retaining 25 percent in exchange for a 2021 fourth-round pick.

The Blue Jackets continue to get hit hard by injuries and on Saturday they'll be without their captain. Foligno's name has been swirling on the trade market, so perhaps this is more "asset management" than "upper-body injury."

Zuccarello has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury but will play tonight vs. the Avalanche. With Zuccarello back, look for Kyle Rau to take a seat.

Kiersted just signed with the Panthers after finishing his senior year at the University of North Dakota. The Panthers will waste no time getting him into the lineup, as he'll skate with veteran Anton Stralman on Saturday. The 22-year-old blueliner had three goals and 19 assists (22 points) in 29 games at UND.

Pitlick was forced to leave Monday's game vs. the Avalanche and will miss at least a couple of weeks with a lower-body injury. With Pitlick out on Friday, look for Drake Caggiula to draw back into the lineup vs. the Sharks.

Johansson has missed the last 16 games with an upper-body injury but will play Monday vs. the Ducks. Johansson skated on the third line with Joel Eriksson Ek and Jordan Greenway in Sunday's practice, so look for him to skate there on Monday. Johansson has two goals and one assist in 11 games this season.
