Johansson suffered an upper-body injury in last Wednesday’s loss to the Flyers. He missed Mnoday’s practice and is not expected to be in the lineup on Tuesday. With Johansson listed as doubtful, the Capitals have recalled Zach Sill from Hershey (AHL).

Foligno has missed the last six games with an upper-body injury, but will return to the lineup tonight in Boston. Foligno is nowhere near his 2014-15 self, but does have 25 points (6G / 19A) in 39 games.

Foligno has missed the past six games after suffering an upper body injury on January 8 at Carolina. He has registered six goals and 19 assists for 25 points with 30 penalty minutes in 39 games this season. Expect him to return to the lineup on Saturday.

Johansson sat out the Capitals weekend back-to-back because of a suspension, but he is set to return on Thursday. Johansson, who had 26 points (10G / 16A) in 39 games this season, is expected to skate on the third line between Jason Chimera and Tom Wilson.

Foligno left Friday’s game with an upper-body injury that he suffered when he was hit hight by Hurricanes’ forward Brad Malone. He looked dazed, so the immediate concern was a concussion and his movement to IR suggests that could be the case. With Foligno out, the Blue Jackets have recalled Kerby Rychel from Lake Erie (AHL).

Foligno left Friday’s game after catching a hit to the head from Hurricanes’ forward Brad Malone. Foligno appeared to be dazed, so the immediate concern is that he suffered a concussion. Continue to monitor his status as game-time approaches.

Johansson will miss the Capitals back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday, but is eligible to return next Thursday vs. the Canucks. With Johansson out, the Capitals are expected to recall a forward.

Petry is dealing with a lower-body injury, which forced him to miss Friday’s practice and will force him to miss Saturday's game. He is listed as day-to-day, so monitor his status heading into next week. Look for Greg Pateryn to play vs. the Penguins.


Tarasenko missed the morning skate, but it was announced that he would play. However, Tarasenko will be held out of the lineup vs. the Wild.

Foligno missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Dallas. With Foligno back in, David Clarkson will be a healthy scratch. Foligno has one goal and three assists in his last four games and 19 points (5G / 14A) in 35 games this season.




Petry suffered a upper-body injury in Saturday’s loss in Dallas and it will keep him out of Monday’s game in Nashville. With Petry out, Jarred Tinordi will make his season debut. Petry is also questionable for Tuesday’s game in Minnesota and likely won’t play until after the Christmas break.

Foligno will be scratched on Monday because of an undisclosed injury. With Foligno out, Rene Bourque will be back in the Blue Jackets lineup. Foligno’s absence also suggests that Brandon Saad could be back on the top line. Consider Foligno as day-to-day.
