Nurse (upper-body) is a possibility to return on Saturday vs. New York.

Nurse was on the receiving end of an illegal check to the head by Toronto's Ryan Reaves on Saturday. Reaves was given a five-minute major penalty and has been suspended for five games. The 29-year-old Nurse, who has nine points (2G / 7A) in 18 games this season, could return to the lineup on Saturday against the New York Rangers.

Hyman (undisclosed) is out vs. Minnesota on Thursday and is expected to be out for 4-7 days.

Hyman is battling an undisclosed ailment and will miss his first game of the season on Thursday. The 32-year-old Hyman, coming off a career-best 54 goal campaign, has struggled in the 2024-25 campaign, with only eight points (3G / 5A) in eight games. New acquired Kasperi Kapanen, claimed from waivers yesterday, will draw into the lineup to make his Oilers debut.

Kapanen struggled to establish himself with the Blues, in and out of the lineup this season, being limited to only one point (1G / 0A) in 10 games. As a result, he was placed on waivers by the Blues and ultimately claimed by the Oilers. He has 23 points (7G / 16A) in 83 total games with the Blues over the previous two seasons.

Ingram is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Ingram was pulled in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Washington Capitals after allowing four goals on 13 shots (.692 SV%). The 27-year-old Ingram, battling an upper-body injury, should not be sidelined for long, but the rest might do him well, as he is sporting an ugly 3.61 GAA and .871 SV% in 13 games (6-4-3). Karel Vejmelka should control Utah HC's crease during Ingram's absence.

The Penguins will turn to Jarry between the pipes for the second time in three games since his return from a conditioning loan in the AHL. Jarry struggled in his return to action, allowing five goals on 38 shots (.868 SV%) in a 6-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Penguins enter the action on Tuesday as +135 home underdogs against a Tampa Bay Lightning club that has outscored their opposition 8-1 during a two-game winning streak.

Lazar (knee) has been placed on IR retroactive to October 27th.

Lazar underwent knee surgery at the end of October and remains sidelined indefinitely. The 29-year-old Lazar, in his second season with the Devils, was a lineup regular before the injury, registering two points (1G / 1A) and a monstrous 36 hits in 12 games.

Brown will make his season debut in Montreal on Monday.

Brown has been an NHL regular the past five seasons but will make his season debut with the Oilers on Monday after spending the beginning portion of the season in the AHL. The 30-year-old Brown has two points (0G / 2A) in 12 games with the Bakersfield Condors (AHL) this season.

For the first time this season, Ingram was the backup in consecutive games, but he will return to the crease on Monday against the Washington Capitals. The 27-year-old Ingram has struggled this season despite a serviceable 6-3-3 record, posting an ugly 3.40 GAA and .879 SV%. The Utah Hockey Club enters the action on Monday as slight -107 home favorites against a Capitals club that played yesterday and defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 5-2.

On the front end of a back-to-back, the Oilers will turn to Pickard between the pipes, his second start in three games. The 32-year-old Pickard has been serviceable when called upon this season, posting a 2.49 GAA and .890 SV% in seven games (4-2-0). He was stellar in his previous outing, saving 20 of 22 shots (.909 SV%) in a 3-2 overtime win over the Nashville Predators. The Oilers enter the action on Monday as sizeable -260 road favorites against the Montreal Canadiens.
