The 27-year-old Blackwood has been stellar between the pipes lately, posting a .929 SV% in his previous six outings (3-2-1). The Sharks enter the action on Wednesday as significant +393 road underdogs against the Stars but nearly defeated them in their meeting on October 15th when Blackwood saved 36 of 38 shots (.947 SV%) in a 3-2 shootout loss.

Off-ice issues aside, Nichushkin has been dynamite in his last three seasons with the Avalanche, scoring 152 points (70G / 82A) in 169 games, and he will provide an offensive boost to an injury-depleted team upon his return to the lineup. Nichushkin is expected to play on a line with Jonathan Drouin and Casey Mittelstadt.

Wedgewood will make just his fourth start of the season when the Predators travel to Edmonton on Thursday. Wedgewood's last appearance came on November 7th in Florida. He allowed six goals on 34 shots as the Predators fell to the Panthers by a score of 6-2. Wedgewood owns a 1-2-0 record and a disappointing .841 SV% on the season. He and the Predators enter action on Thursday as +145 underdogs in Edmonton.

Brindley was the second-round pick, 34th overall, of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old played one game with the Blue Jackets last season, his NHL debut, after completing his campaign with the University of Michigan where he scored 53 points (25G / 28A) in 40 games.
