After serving as a healthy scratch in Game 1, Thomson will make his post-season debut on Monday in place of the injured Artem Zub (undisclosed). Thomson played in just 11 games this season, registering zero goals and three assists. He is expected to skate with Dennis Gilbert on Ottawa's third defensive pairing.

After being originally placed on waivers last week by Ottawa, he now finds himself back with the Senators after being placed on waivers again by Anaheim. Thomson has played in four straight games but played just 10:50 TOI last night, with Erik Brannstrom being elevated. Thomson will be replaced by Victor Mete.

Thomson has eight points (5G / 3A) in 15 games with Belleville this season. During his time with Ottawa, he has three assists in 12 games. He should draw into the lineup on Tuesday with Erik Brannstrom landing in COVID-19 protocol.



The 2019 No.19 overall pick has been recalled because the Senators are down eight players due to COVID-19 but it doesn't appear as if he will make his NHL debut on Thursday.
