Sandin (lower-body) is on the ice for warmups and is expected to play in Detroit on Thursday.

Sandin did not play on Tuesday because of a lower-body injury but appears to be good to go for Thursday's game against the Detroit Red Wings. The 25-year-old Swedish defenseman is averaging 18:48 time-on-ice and has 17 points (2G / 15A) in 47 games this season.

Rasmus Sandin
Lindgren will start in Detroit on Thursday.

With Logan Thompson (upper body) out of the lineup, Lindgren will tend the twine for the Capitals on Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings. The 32-year-old Lindgren had a poor showing in his previous outing, allowing six goals on 40 shots (.850 SV%) in a 6-5 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. The loss was the most recent in a string of unreliable performances for Lindgren, who has allowed three or more goals in seven consecutive games (2-3-2), posting an ugly 4.08 GAA and .876 SV%. The Capitals enter the action on Thursday as +115 road underdogs against a Detroit Red Wings team coming off a 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings, snapping a five-game point streak (4-0-1).

Thompson (upper-body) is out vs. Detroit on Thursday and considered day-to-day.

Thompson was hit in the mask with a puck in Tuesday's game against the Seattle Kraken, and he will be out of the lineup on Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings. It's unclear if the injury will impact Thompson's availability for Saturday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Washington recalled Clay Stevenson from Hershey (AHL) to likely serve as Charlie Lindgren's backup on Thursday.

Logan Thompson
Wilson (undisclosed) took full part in warmups and is expected to play in Seattle on Tuesday.

Wilson was absent from practice on Monday because of an undisclosed injury, which left his status up in the air for Tuesday's game against the Seattle Kraken. The 31-year-old Wilson has only played three games since returning from a multi-week absence due to an injury. He's having a career offensive season, with 46 points (22G / 24A) in 44 games. Even with his uptick in offense, he remains a hard-hitting presence on the ice, accompanying Matthew Knies (TOR) as the only players in the league with over 40 points and 100 hits (116).

Thompson carries an 18-15-4 record and a .914 SV% into Tuesday night's game against the Kraken, where the Capitals enter action at -125 on the money line.
