Hronek, who finished Tuesday's game in Anaheim, missed Thursday's morning skate and is questionable to play in Los Angeles. Head coach Jeff Blashill did not rule out the potential of Hronek playing tonight, so monitor his status as the Red Wings hit the ice for warmups.

Demko allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Canucks loss in Winnipeg last Friday. Demko has played very well in his first six appearances and has earned some more playing time beside Jacob Markstrom. Demko enters Tuesday's matchup tied for second in the NHL in GAA (1.99) and tied for third in SV% (.933). It's not a great matchup but the Predators are a pedestrian 3-3-1 on the road this season.

Demko allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Canucks win in San Jose last Saturday. With Jacob Markstrom going last night, Demko will make his sixth appearance of the season in Winnipeg. He has gone 2-1-0 with a 1.97 GAA and .931 SV% on the road this year and is a decent option against a Jets offence that is still searching for answers.

DeBrusk is battling a lower-body injury and will not be available for tomorrow's game against the Red Wings. With DeBrusk out, Peter Cehlarik will move up to the second line and skate with David Krejci and Danton Heinen.

He is 3-1-0 with a 1.73 GAA and .941 SV% in his first four starts and gets a crack at a struggling Sharks team that sits 27th in goal-scoring (2.43 GF/gm) in their first 14 games.

After playing a full season with the Rangers last year, Chytil started the 2019-20 campaign with Hartford (AHL), where he had nine points (3G / 6A) in nine games. Chytil will draw into the Rangers lineup on a line with Chris Kreider and Pavel Buchnevich and could see some PP2 time. The 20-year-old had 23 points (11G / 12A) in 75 games with New York last year.

With Mika Zibanejad dealing with an injury, Chytil comes up and could draw into the lineup on Tuesday. Chytil has had a nice start to the season, tying for the team lead with nine points (3G / 6A) in nine games with Hartford.

With Jacob Markstrom away for personal reasons, Demko started the last two games and went 2-0-0 while allowing just four goals on 64 shots (.938 SV%). Markstrom returned to practice on Friday but the Canucks will stick with Demko this afternoon before turning to Markstrom on Sunday.

With Jacob Markstrom away from the team to attend a personal matter, Demko will make his season debut against Detroit. Demko split his 2018-19 season between the AHL and NHL. He was 8-6-0 with a .911 SV% with Utica (AHL) and was 4-3-1 with a 2.81 GAA and .913 SV% in the NHL. He could see two or three starts this week, making him a great pickup.

Schuldt, 24, recorded an assist in his NHL debut last year but sat as a healthy scratch in the first four games of 2019-20. Schuldt switches spots with Jake Bischoff.

Kane will make his season debut in Nashville and is expected to be on the second line with Tomas Hertl and Kevin Labanc. Kane had 30 goals and 26 assists (56 points) in 75 games last season.

Boeser took an ugly hit from behind from Senators centre Chris Tierney and Canucks head coach Travis Green announced that Boeser is in concussion protocol. With the regular season just over one week away, Boeser’s status for the season opener is suddenly in question.

Forbort, who plays a key role next to Drew Doughty for the Kings, is still not in training camp and head coach Todd McLellan isn’t sure when he’ll get the 27-year-old defneseman back. The Kings went out and signed Benn Hutton to a one-year deal on Tuesday to add a little more depth while Forbort heals up.

Boeser had 26 goals and 30 assists (56 points) in 69 games in 2019. Through two NHL seasons, Boeser has averaged 34 goals and 35 assists (69 points) per 82-games but has missed 20.1 percent of the games. If Boeser can stay healthy, he has legit 40-goal, 40-assist upside next to Elias Pettersson.
