Willander has been recalled from Abbotsford (AHL).

Victor Mancini (undisclosed) was placed on Injured Reserve, freeing up a roster spot for Vancouver to recalled Willander from Abbotsford (AHL). The 20-year-old Willander was the 11th-overall pick of the Canucks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. He has yet to play an NHL game and is in his first professional season, tallying two points (1G / 1A) in five AHL games with Abbotsford.

Mancini (upper-body) has been placed on IR retroactive to October 26th.

Mancini was limited to only 8:18 time-on-ice in Vancouver's 4-3 overtime win over the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday, ending the contest with an undisclosed injury. The 23-year-old defenseman was averaging 10:32 time-on-ice in five games before his injury. Vancouver recalled Tom Willander from Abbotsford (AHL) in a corresponding move.

Vancouver has acquired Lukas Reichel from Chicago for a 2027 4th round pick.

Reichel was a high-end prospect for the Blackhawks, drafted 17th-overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, that has trouble acclimating to the NHL in the Blackhawks organization. The 23-year-old was regularly a healthy scratch and saw limited ice time. He scored 58 points (22G / 36A) in 174 career games with the Blackhawks and was off to a strong start in the 2025-26 season, scoring four points (2G / 2A) in five games.

Demko will start in Nashville on Thursday.

After a disappointing 2024-25 season, posting a pedestrian 2.90 GAA and .889 SV% in 23 games (10-8-3), Demko has returned to elite form early in 2025-26, boasting an excellent 2.28 GAA and .922 SV% in four games (3-1-0). The 29-year-old Demko returns to the crease on Thursday in a meeting with the Nashville Predators. The Canucks enter Thursday's contest as slight -101 road underdogs against a Predators team that has been outscored 24-17 through seven games this season (2-3-2).

Boeser did not play in Vancouver's previous two games, tending to a personal matter, but will return to the lineup on Thursday against the Nashville Predators. The 28-year-old Boeser has three points (3G / 0A) and 10 shots through five games this season.

Rossi (lower-body) will be a game-time decision in New Jersey on Wednesday.

Rossi showed no signs of an injury in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, playing 18:01 time-on-ice and scoring one point (0G / 1A), but did not play on Monday against the New York Rangers. The 24-year-old forward played 82 games in each of the previous two seasons. He has five points (1G / 4A) in six games this season.

Schuldt has been reassigned to Abbotsford (AHL).

Schuldt is an undrafted 30-year-old defenseman who spent most of his career playing in the AHL, limited to only nine NHL games. He scored 21 points (6G / 15A) in 64 games with the San Jose Baracuda (AHL) last season. The Canucks recalled Tom Willander from Abbotsford (AHL) in a corresponding move.

The Canucks are riding a three-game winning streak and will turn to Lankinen between the pipes on Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 30-year-old Lankinen has only played twice this season (1-1-0), but has been serviceable when called upon, showcasing a solid 2.91 GAA and .912 SV%. The Canucks enter Tuesday's contest as slight -104 road underdogs against a surprising Penguins team that is riding a two-game winning streak.
