The Stars have recalled Kevin Connauton from his conditioning assignment with Texas (AHL).

Connauton, 23, has one assist and a minus-4 rating with Texas. He has appeared in one game with Dallas this season, he played 16:06 and was a plus-2. The Stars have placed tough-guy Lane MacDermid in on Waivers to clear room for Connauton.

The Dallas Stars on Thursday signed defenseman Kevin Connauton to a three-year contract through the 2015-16 season.

The 23-year-old was acquired by the Stars with a second-round pick in the 2013 draft from the Vancouver Canucks for forward Derek Roy on April 2, and then sent to the American Hockey League. Connauton split his 2012-13 AHL season between the Chicago Wolves and the Texas Stars. He played 69 total games last season with nine goals and 22 assists.

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Tuesday the club has assigned defenseman Ian Cole to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Cole is the seventh defender and would be better served in the AHL. He has a goal and five points through 17 games.

The NHL has suspended St. Louis Blues defenseman Ian Cole three games for an illegal check to the head of Detroit Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader during the first period of Saturday's game at Joe Louis Arena.

Expect the Blues to recall a defenseman to replace Cole on the blue line.
