Perunovich will come out of the lineup on Monday due to an undisclosed injury. Replacing him will be Colton Parayko, who is set to return from the COVID-19 protocol list.





Hayton suffered a hand injury vs. the Blackhawks on Thursday and will require "minor" surgery. Hayton is expected to miss at least five weeks, so he'll be out of the lineup until mid-to-late February.


Yamamoto was pulled off of the ice at Friday's practice and will not be available for at least five days. Luckily all of the Oilers games have been cancelled except for Monday's meeting with the Senators on Monday. As of now, that game is scheduled to go ahead and the Oilers would be without Yamamoto for that game.

Perunovich, who was absolutely torching the AHL when he was called up hasn't had the same level of success at the NHL level. He has just one assist in his last nine games and has yet to score in 18 games. He'll be replaced by Robert Bortuzzo on Friday and will likely miss two games.


Maatta cleared COVID-19 protocol on Monday and skated on the second pair with Matt Roy on Wednesday. Maatta heads into Thursday with three points (1G / 2A) in 19 games this season.


Peterka failed to record a point in two games with the Sabres but did not look out of place at the NHL level. His stay was never expected to be a long one, so he gets sent back to the AHL to clear the way for Jeff Skinner to return from the COVID-19 protocol list.


Crouse missed one game while in COVID-19 protocol thanks to the early shutdown and Christmas break. Crouse, who has 11 points (6G / 5A) in 28 games this season, should be back in the Coyotes' top-6.
