Cooley exited Saturday's 1-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues after a scary knee-on-knee collision with Alexey Toropchenko. He was in distress and needed to be helped off the ice, but fortunately did not suffer a serious injury and will be a game-time decision to return to the lineup on Monday. The 21-year-old Cooley has been excellent for Utah this season, scoring 23 points (14G / 9A) in 26 games.

The Mammoth will turn to Vanecek on Friday after Karel Vejmelka was tagged for four goals on 17 shots in a 4-3 loss to the Canadiens on Wednesday.
