Vasilevskiy has allowed at least three goals in four of those five games and comes into Friday 1-1-0 with a 3.13. GAA and .906 SV% vs. the Islanders this season.

The All-Star netminder will get right back between the pipes after the break and draws a tough assignment right away. Vasilevskiy has not faced the Penguins this season but is 8-2-2 with a 2.49 GAA, .923 SV% and two shutouts on the road.
Paul was a healthy scratch for the last two games but will draw back into the Senators lineup on Saturday. Paul has just one assist and a minus-7 rating in 17 games.
Santini has been a healthy scratch for the last three games but will replace a banged up Ben Lovejoy on Thursday. Santini has just one assist in 12 games this season.

Vasilevskiy has two shutouts in his last four starts, going 3-1-0 while allowing just five goals on 120 shots (.958 SV%) over that stretch. In his first start vs. the Maple Leafs, Vasilevskiy stopped 48 of 49 shots in a 4-1 win (Dec.13).

It was a rare an surprising loss for Vasilevskiy, who is 9-2-1 with a 2.84 GAA, .917 SV% and one shutout since returning from a foot injury in mid-December. Tonight he starts in Dallas and comes in at 7-2-2 with a 2.71 GAA and .916 SV% on the road.
Hedman was forced to leave Tampa Bay’s last game early but is ready to play Tuesday in Dallas. Hedman has been red-hot as of late, picking up one goal and 14 assists (15 points) in his last 16 games.

He is a must-start against a Hurricanes team that he tied for 27th in the NHL in scoring (2.64 GF/pg).

Girgensons, who has just one assist in his last seven games, is expected to miss at least a few weeks with an upper-bod injury he suffered on Thursday. With Girgensons out, Remi Elie will likely become a regular in the lineup.
