Kakko joins a much younger roster in Seattle where he should see an expanded role at 5v5 and potentially on the power-play after being limited to a bottom-six role for the majority of his time as a Ranger.

Winterton played the last two games for Seattle but has been reassigned to the Coachella Valley Firebirds (AHL). The 21-year-old has 15 points (7G / 8A) in 16 games with Coachella Valley this season.

Seattle will turn to Daccord between the pipes for only the second time in their last six games. The 28-year-old Daccord has been tremendous this season, giving Seattle a chance to win on most nights, posting a stellar 2.42 GAA and .916 SV% in 20 games (12-6-2). Seattle is coming off a 5-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning and enters Tuesday's contest as +113 home underdogs against a red-hot Ottawa Senators club with a 7-2-1 record in their last 10.

Jonny Brodzinski will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday against the Nashville Predators, allowing Kakko to return from a one-game absence. The 23-year-old Kakko has 14 points (4G / 10A) in 29 games this season but only has one point (0G / 1A) in his last six contests.

The 28-year-old McCann is averaging a career-high 17:50 time-on-ice and has 24 points (10G / 14A) in 30 games this season.

Grubauer will make his 11th start of the season when the Kraken host the Bruins on Thursday. Grubauer grabbed the win his last time out, allowing five goals on 37 shots in a 7-5 victory over the Rangers on Sunday. The 33-year-old netminder has just two wins on the season to go along with a lackluster .870 SV%. He's got a decent chance of securing his third victory of the season tonight as the Kraken are an even +100 on the money line.

Winterton has enjoyed a productive season in the AHL, registering 15 points in 16 games, though he's posted just a single assist across 15 career games with the Kraken. The former third-round draft pick of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft could slot into the lineup for Seattle's game against the Bruins on Thursday.

Mahura will be the odd-man out on Friday as Ryker Evans is set to return from a hand injury. Mahura has no goals and just one assist in 21 games this season.

Evans will make his first appearance since November 30th when the Kraken travel to New Jersey on Friday. The second-year defenceman was off to a great start before the injury, scoring three goals and adding 13 assists across 25 games. Josh Mahura will come out of the lineup to make room for Evans.

The Kraken will hand the reigns over to Grubauer on Friday as they get set for the tail-end of their back-to-back. It's Grubauer's first appearance since a dreadful performance on November 29th when he surrendered seven goals on 26 shots in an 8-5 loss to the Sharks. The 33-year-old netminder has been relegated to the role of backup thanks to his woeful .862 SV% and 3.62 GAA on the season. He'll have his hands full again on Friday as the Kraken enter action at +225 on the money line.
