Skinner is expected to start on Tuesday vs. Detroit.

After a franchise-best 16-game winning streak, the Oilers have lost two of their last three contests, both with Skinner between the pipes. Skinner will look to get back into the win column on Tuesday night as the Oilers are -220 home favourites against the Detroit Red Wings, who have points in four straight (3-0-1). Despite dropping his past two outings, Skinner has played respectably, allowing only five goals while posting a .900 SV%.

He has seven goals and two assists (nine points) in 45 games this season.

Skinner will start a monumental game for the Oilers, their first game back from the All-Star break, as they search for their 17th straight victory. After receiving the night off on Thursday, Skinner will return to the crease on Saturday as the Oilers attempt to extend their franchise-best winning streak to 16 games. The entire Oilers' team has been firing on all cylinders, but Skinner has been their backbone, allowing two or fewer goals in 10 straight, posting a sensational .953 SV%.
