The 21-year-old rookie has been very good in his small-sample size this season, with his 2-2-0 record, 2.73 GAA and .908 SV%. He will take on the Nashville Predators, who have won five of their last six games after a 3-1 victory over Chicago their last time out.

Johnsson was traded to the Devils in 2020 and struggled to find success, picking up just 46 points (18G / 28A) in 123 games. He's appeared in just two NHL games this season, spending most of the year in the AHL, where he has 29 points (9G / 20A) in 36 games.

Mantha left the Capitals' previous game Tuesday vs. Detroit after just 8:18 TOI due to an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day for the time being. The 28-year-old has nine goals, 15 assists, 101 SOG, 29 PIMs and a -7 plus/minus through 54 games prior to the injury.

The 27-year-old will make a welcome addition back as he has been fantastic this season, with his 16-5-5 record, 2.65 GAA and .921 SV%. He will take on the New York Islanders, who have lost four of their last five games after a 6-2 loss to Boston in their previous game.
