Philadelphia Flyers News

The Flyers have acquired Nate Thompson from the Canadiens for a fifth-round draft pick.

Philadelphia will be the eighth different team Thompson has played for across his 13-year career. He registered four goals and 10 assists in 63 games with Montreal this season, playing almost exclusively on the fourth-line. He's expected to see similar usage with the Flyers.

Konecny missed the last three games with a concussion that he suffered on December 7th vs. the Senators. He was back on the is for Monday's morning skate and will play on the top line with Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier. Konecny has three goals and one assist in his last four games.

Konecny is out indefinitely with a concussion.

Konecny was forced to leave Saturday's game against the Senators after being crushed by Mark Borowiecki in open ice. Konecny was visually shaken by the hit, left immediately and did not return to the game. On Monday, the Flyers announced that he is out indefinitely with a concussion, so expect him to miss at least one week.
