Tsyplakov will slot in for Simon Holmstrom, who is out with an illness. Tsyplakov has just a single goal and no assists in 12 games this season.

The absence of Scott Mayfield (personal) has prompted the recall of Mitchell from the Bridgeport Islanders (AHL). The 25-year-old Mitchell has three points (0G / 3A) in 12 games with Bridgeport this season. He has never played an NHL game.

The 30-year-old goalie hopes to build off his recent outing when he returns to the crease on Monday against the New Jersey Devils. He has a 3.00 GAA and .893 SV% in 10 games this season (4-4-2). The Islanders enter Monday's contest as +132 road underdogs against a Devils team that is undefeated at home this season, with a perfect 7-0-0 record.
