Allen stopped 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%) to snap a two-game losing streak as he beat Edmonton in his previous start on Sunday. The 32-year-old has done well to help the Canadiens improve their final draft pick position, with his 11-17-2 record, 3.53 GAA and .892 SV%. He will face the Chicago Blackhawks, who have lost three of their last four games and are second last in the NHL in both shots (26.7) and goals (2.45) per game.

Kallgren has a 5-4-2 record, 3.29 GAA and .878 SV% with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) and has been recalled to the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday. This is the 26-year-olds second stint with the big club, going 3-2-4 with a 2.67 GAA and .898 SV% across 10 games his last time with the Maple Leafs.

MacEwen last played on January 26th and was forced to leave the game after just 1:50 TOI due to a fractured jaw which has led to him now being placed on the injured reserve attractive to that date. Hughes was having a phenomenal season with 35 goals, 67 points, 229 SOG, and a +15 plus/minus through 50 games played but will miss weeks due to an upper-body injury. It is an unfortunate loss for the fourth year star as he has never played more than 61 games in a season in his career.

Hughes was unable to practice for the second straight day, as is considered day-to-day with an upper-body injury. "We'll see how it goes," according to head coach Lindy Ruff, so consider Hughes questionable to play Thursday vs. the Kraken.
