Guhle (quad) returned to practice in a regular practice jersey on Monday and will travel with Montreal on their road trip.

Guhle has not played since January 28th but is nearing a return and could draw back into Montreal's lineup on their upcoming road trip. The 23-year-old Guhle was averaging 21:14 time-on-ice and scored 14 points (4G / 10A) in 44 games before his injury.

Veleno will draw back into Chicago's lineup vs. Los Angeles on Thursday.

Veleno found himself in Chicago's press box for the first time since being acquired at the trade deadline last game but will return to the lineup on Thursday as he replaces Pat Maroon. The 25-year-old has endured a disappointing 2024-25 campaign between Detroit and Chicago, with just five goals and 10 points in 60 combined games played.

Montembeault will start on Long Island on Thursday.

The Canadiens are coming off an impressive 6-3 win over the Ottawa Senators and will roll with Montembeault between the pipes as they continue their push for a wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. The 28-year-old Montembeault has been excellent lately, posting a 2.09 GAA and .922 SV% in his last eight games (7-0-1). He has a 2.84 GAA and .901 SV% in 50 games this season (25-21-4). The Canadiens enter Thursday's contest as +108 road underdogs against a New York Islanders team riding a two-game winning streak.

Veleno made his debut with the Blackhawks on Saturday, after being acquired from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for Petr Mrazek and Craig Smith. The 25-year-old Veleno is averaging 11:35 time-on-ice and has zero points through two games with the Blackhawks.

On the tail end of a back-to-back, fresh off a 4-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks last night, the Canadiens will switch to Dobes between the pipes on Wednesday against the Seattle Kraken. The 23-year-old Dobes was impressive in his most recent outing, saving 23 of 24 shots (.958 SV%) in a 1-0 loss to the Calgary Flames. He has a 2.49 GAA and .913 SV% in 11 appearances this season (6-3-1). The Canadiens enter Wednesday's contest as +133 road underdogs against a Kraken team that has lost three of their last four (1-3-0).

The Canadiens have lost two straight (0-1-1) and will hope for a better result on Tuesday, with Montembeault tending the twine against a Vancouver Canucks squad coming off a 4-1 loss to the Dallas Stars. He has a 2.89 GAA, .900 SV%, and four shutouts in 47 appearances this season (22-21-4).
