Kahkonen will start Thursday in Vegas.

Kahkonen stopped 12 of 13 shots (.923 SV%) for his third victory in four games as he beat Washington last game but was forced to leave after 37:03 TOI due to an undisclosed injury. The 26-year-old has finished with a save percentage above .900 in his last four starts yet still has an ugly .880 SV%, 3.69 GAA and 8-10-4 record on the season. He will take on the Vegas Golden Knights, who have won three straight and are 10th in the NHL in shots (32.6).

Kaapo Kahkonen
Montembeault will start Thursday in Carolina.

Montembeault stopped 27 of 30 shots (.900 SV%) and snapped a two-game losing streak as he defeated the New York Islanders in his previous start. The 26-year-old has been reliable all season, as shown by his 11-10-2 record, 3.17 GAA and .909 SV%. He will face the Carolina Hurricanes, who have won eight of their last nine games after a 3-2 win over Washington last game.

The Blues have acquired Sammy Blais, Hunter Skinner, a conditional 2023 first-round pick and a conditional 2024 fourth-round pick from the Rangers for Vladimir Tarasenko and Niko Mikkola.

Blais has five assists, 31 SOG, eight PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 40 games with the Rangers this season but will return to St. Louis where he played his first four NHL seasons. He was traded alongside Hunter Skinner, a conditional 2023 first-round pick and a conditional 2024 fourth-round pick from the Rangers for Vladimir Tarasenko and Niko Mikkola.

Kahkonen will start Thursday in Florida.

Kahkonen allowed three goals on 37 shots (.919 SV%) for his second-straight victory as he topped the Tampa Bay Lightning in his last start. The 26-year-old Sharks backup will be hoping his recent run of success can continue as he has a horrendous .874 SV%, 3.84 GAA and 7-9-4 record. He draws the Florida Panthers, who have won their last two games and are tops in the NHL in shots per game (35.9).

Kahkonen allowed four goals on 41 shots (.902 SV%) for his first win in three games as he beat Pittsburgh in his previous start. The 26-year-old Sharks' backup has been one of the league's worst goaltenders this year, with his 6-9-4 record, 3.89 GAA and .871 SV%. He takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning, who lost their previous game 7-1 to Florida Monday but are still fifth in the NHL in goals per game (3.57).

Blais will draw into the Rangers lineup on Monday.

Blais was a healthy scratch for the Rangers' previous four games but will return to the lineup Monday vs. Calgary. The 26-year-old left winger has been struggling mightily this season, with only five assists, 30 SOG, eight PIMs and a +2 plus/minus through 38 games played.

Owen Beck has been returned to the Peterborough Petes (OHL).

Beck played in one game as an emergency call-up for Montreal, collecting a -1 plus/minus through 14 shifts and 9:48 TOI but has been returned to the Peterborough Petes of the OHL. The 2022 2nd round pick (33rd overall) returns to Peterborough (OHL) where he has 19 goals and 45 points in 38 games played.

Owen Beck
Beck was recalled from Peterborough (OHL) and is expected to make his NHL debut on Saturday.

The Canadiens have been ravaged by injuries lately and needed a forward, so Beck makes the jump from the OHL to the NHL. The 18-year-old was the No.33 overall pick in 2022 and has scored 19 goals with 25 assists (44 points) in 37 OHL games between Mississauga and Peterborough.
