Katchouk was activated from the injured reserve Friday after missing the start of the season due to a left ankle sprain. in 59 career NHL games, the 24-year-old has three goals and seven points while earing a -7 plus/minus rating.

Pitlick signed a one-year, $750,000 deal just a day ago with the Blues and will likely find himself inserted directly into the lineup Wednesday as they take on the Edmonton Oilers at home. In 325 career games played, he has 48 goals and 89 points through his nine-year career.

The Blues announced that they've signed Pitlick to a one-year deal and placed Pavel Buchnevich (undisclosed) on IR to make room for him. Pitlick had one goal and four assists (five points) in 39 games with the Flames and Canadiens last season.

After conceding the first two games of the season to Jonathan Quick in Kings' losses, Petersen will have started three of the last four games struggling with a 2-0-0 record off a high 4.32 GAA and low .866 SV%. He takes on a Penguins team that has a point in all three games with six goals being scored in two of those outings.


Petersen draws his second start of the season as the 2-2-0 Kings head to Nashville to take on the equal-in-record Predators on the road. Petersen won his opening start Saturday albeit playing incredibly shakey stopping 29 of 35 shots on way to a 7-6 victory over the Minnesota Wild.

Bogosian, still hasn't been cleared for contact but could be back in the lineup by late October. Bogosian's return will not be imminent until he ditches the non-contact jersey.
