Filip Gustavsson starts vs. the New York Islanders.

Gustavsson allowed two goals on 24 shots (.917 SV%) to snap a three-game winning streak with an overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 24-year-old has basically taken over Minnesota's starting job, due to his incredible 15-8-3 record, 2.11 GAA and .928 SV%. He will take on the New York Islanders, who have won three of their last four contest after a 4-0 win over Winnipeg last game.

The Wild have placed Jonas Brodin (lower-body) on IR.

Brodin has two goals, nine assists, 73 SOG, 24 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus through 49 games but will miss Thursday's contest vs. Columbus as he was placed on the injured reserve with a lower-body injury. Brodin is expected to miss at least seven days as he deals with his injury.

Foligno (lower-body) will be back in the WIld lineup on Thursday.

Foligno has missed the Wilds' previous four games due to a lower-body injury and will return Thursday as they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 31-year-old has four goals, 11 assists, 57 SOG, 53 PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 44 games prior to the injury.

Gustavsson will start Tuesday vs. the Kings.

Gustavsson allowed three goals on 26 shots (.885 SV%) for his third win in four games as he beat Nashville in his previous start. The 24-year-old has essentially snaked the Wilds' starting role away from Marc-Andre Fleury, due to his strong 14-8-2 record, 2.16 GAA and .926 SV%. He will take on the Los Angeles Kings, who have won four straight contests after a 6-5 win over Arizona last game.

Gustavsson will start Friday vs. the Stars.

Gustavsson allowed one goal on 34 shots (.971 SV%) but still took the loss in a hard-fought shootout loss to Florida in his last game. The 24-year-old has been a revelation after being acquired in the offseason for Cam Talbot, with his 12-8-1 record, 2.18 GAA and .926 SV%. He takes on the Dallas Stars, who have lost two straight but have the NHLs ninth best powerplay (23.6).

Foligno left Monday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Foligno left Monday's game with a lower-body injury after blocking a shot on the inside of his knee in the second period. Expect an update on Foligno's status prior to Wednesday's game vs. the Avalanche. Sam Steel would draw into the lineup to replace Foligno.

Gustavsson stopped 27 of 29 shots (.931 SV%) to snap a two-game losing streak as he beat New Jersey in his previous start. The Wilds' backup netminder has been their better of the two goalies by a longshot, with his 12-8-1 record, 2.25 GAA and .923 SV%. He takes on the Florida Panthers, who snapped a three-game winning streak with a 5-3 loss to Colorado in their last game.

Vladimir Tarasenko will make his Rangers debut Friday vs. Seattle.

Tarasenko had 10 goals, 19 assists, 103 SOG, and a -18 plus/minus through 38 games with St. Louis but has been traded along with Niko Mikkola from the Blues to the New York Rangers for Sammy Blais, Hunter Skinner, a conditional 2023 first-round pick and a conditional 2024 fourth-round pick. He will make his Rangers debut Thursday vs. Seattle.
