Samoskevich has been dealing with an upper-body injury since the beginning of training camp but was cleared to join practice on Wednesday. Head coach Paul Maurice said he expects Samoskevich to be full contact by Friday and make his pre-season debut on Saturday. If he's healthy, Samoskevich is expected to open the season on the Panthers' roster and skate on the third line next to Anton Lundell and Eetu Luostarinen.

Marchand underwent elbow, groin and abdominal surgeries in the offseason and is still getting up to speed. He has yet to be cleared for practice, but Bruins' GM Don Sweeney said that Marchand remains on track to be ready for the start of the season. Studnicka will join his fourth team in six seasons after he agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with Los Angeles on Monday. The 25-year-old Windsor native has six goals and 16 points in 107 career NHL games. He spent 2023-24 between Vancouver and San Jose and had one goal, no assists, six PIMs and a -12 plus/minus through 22 games played.
Florida continues to fill out its bottom six after signing Jesper Boqvist to a one-year deal on Monday. The 25-year-old has five years of NHL experience under his belt but struggled to produce in his first season in Boston in 2023-24 with just six goals and 14 points in 47 games played.

Reinhart absolutely exploded in his contract year, scoring 57 goals, 24 more than his previous career high. He also added 37 assists, to give him 94 points, 12 more than his previous career high. Reinhart was also very strong during the Panthers run to the Stanley Cup, posting 16 points (10G / 6A) in 24 games and scored the Stanley Cup winning goal. Look for him to remain on a line with Aleksander Barkov for the foreseeable future.
Bussi finished his third professional season at 23-10-5 with a 2.67 GAA, .913 SV% and one shutout in 41 games with the Providence Bruins (AHL). Bussi figured to become Jeremy Swayman's backup next season following the Linus Ullmark trade, but with Joonas Korpisalo coming the other way, he may have to continue waiting. The two-way contract will allow the Bruins to have that flexibility.

He will look to close out the playoffs on a positive note on Monday and add to his 15-8-0 record, 2.38 GAA and .903 SV% in 23 playoff games this season.
