The Oilers select Evan Bouchard with the No.10 overall pick.

Bouchard has good size (6-foot-2, 192 lbs.) and fantastic mobility. The London Knights captain led all OHL defenseman in points (87) and assists (62) while finishing second in goals (25). There are some questions about his defensive game, but overall he is a well-rounded defenseman with high-end offensive skills.

The Maple Leafs have re-signed Calvin Pickard to a one-year deal worth $800K.

Pickard, 26, was acquired in a trade with the Vegas Golden Knights in early-October and spent the majority of the season in the AHL. Pickard, who is currently No.4 on the Maple Leafs’ goaltending depth chart, was 21-9-1 with a 2.31 GAA, .918 SV% and one shutout in 33 games with the Marlies. He gave up four goals on 27 shots in his only NHL appearance with the Maple Leafs.

The Penguins have assigned Tristan Jarry to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Jarry has gone 6-2-0 with a 2.60 GAA and .914 SV% in eight games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. He has spent the majority of the year with Pittsburgh, but with Matt Murray (concussion) likely returning on Tuesday, they will keep Casey DeSmith as his backup for now.

Janmark (illness) is expected to be back in the Stars lineup on Sunday.

Janamrk was a late scratch from Friday’s game vs. the Ducks but he was back on the ice for today’s morning skate and is expected to play in Pittsburgh. Janmark, who will start the game on a line with Tyler Seguin and Alexander Radulov, has 17 goals and 15 assists (32 points) in 67 games this season.

Jarry allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Penguins win in Philadelphia on Wednesday. Jarry has won three straight while posting a 2.25 GAA and .925 SV%, so he will make his fifth straight start tonight in Toronto. He was yanked in his first start vs. the Maple Leafs after allowing three goals on 16 shots in the first period of a 4-3 loss in mid-December.

Jarry allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Penguins win in Philadelphia on Wednesday. Jarry has won three straight while posting a 2.25 GAA and .925 SV%, so he will make his fifth straight start tonight in Toronto. He was yanked in his first start vs. the Maple Leafs after allowing three goals on 16 shots in the first period of a 4-3 loss in mid-December.

Jarry allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Penguins win over the Flames on Monday. After two rough starts, Jarry has won his last two starts while stopping 60 of 65 shots (.923 SV%). Tonight the 22-year-old will make his third appearance against the Flyers this season—he is 2-0-0 with a 3.00 GAA and .889 SV% in the first two meetings.

Jarry stopped 25 of 27 shots in the Penguins overtime win over the Islanders on Saturday. Casey DeSmith was in the starter’s crease this morning, but Jarry will go tonight vs. the Flames. Jarry suffered an OT loss in his first start vs. Calgary and comes into Monday at 7-2-0 with a 2.69 GAA and .907 SV% on home-ice this season.

Jarry gave up five goals on 33 shots after replacing Casey DeSmith in the Penguins blowout 8-4 loss in Boston on Thursday. It was an ugly game for the entire team, but Jarry has now allowed a combined nine goals on just 49 shots (.816 SV%) in his last two outings. However, he is 2-0-0 with a 1.48 GAA and .947 SV% in two starts vs. the Islanders this season.

Nugent-Hopkins (sternum) is “penciled into” Saturday’s lineup.

Nugent-Hopkins has missed the last 18 games with a sternum/ribs injury but it looks like he is set to return tomorrow. The Oilers season is over, but RNH has a chance to build off of a strong first-half of the season, where he picked up 16 goals and 15 assists (31 points) in 46 games.
