The Oilers have signed Viljami Marjala to a two-year entry-level contract.

Marjala was originally drafted by the Sabres in the fifth round of the 2021 NHL Draft but never signed. Marjala spent the past three seasons in Finland with TPS Turku, posting 29 goals and 72 assists (101 points) in 129 games. In the 2024-25 season, he tied for the team lead with 52 points (8G / 44A) in 54 games.

Nugent-Hopkins is a game-time decision for Game 3 on Monday in Florida.

Nugent-Hopkins missed Sunday's practice with an undisclosed injury and was announced a game-time decision for Game 3 on Monday by head coach Kris Knoblauch. If the 32-year-old is forced to miss any time, it will be a massive loss for a team already missing Zach Hyman. RNH has five goals, 18 points, and 41 SOG in 18 games played this season.

Edmonton has signed Roby Jarventie to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Jarventie missed all but two games in 2024-25 due to a knee injury but has earned himself a one-year, two-way contract to remain with Edmonton. The 22-year-old was originally expected to return to Tappara of Liiga in Finland for the 2025-26 season as he recovers from last year's serious injury. He appeared in seven NHL games in 2023-24, picking up an assist.

Ekholm (undisclosed) is expected to make his 2024-25 postseason debut on Thursday in Game 5.

Ekholm has yet to play in the postseason but will likely make his debut on Thursday in Game 5. The 34-year-old Ekholm had 33 points (9G / 24A) in 65 games this season and would be a massive boost on the Oilers blueline.

Hyman is having upper-body surgery and is likely out for the remainder of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Hyman left Game 4 after just 5 shifts and 3:11 TOI due to an upper-body injury and has already been ruled out for Game 5, but will now undergo surgery, which will likely keep him out for the remainder of the playoffs. The 32-year-old forward was leading all players in Hits this postseason and had added five goals and 11 points in 16 games while playing an effective top-six role.

Hyman left Game 4 with an injury and will not return.

Hyman was hurt on a hit from Mason Marchment in the first period and will not return to Game 4. Hyman is coming off of his biggest game of the postseason, scoring two goals with one assist in Game 3. Overall, he had tallied 11 points (5G / 6A) in 14 games coming into tonight.

Pickard (lower body) will return as Edmonton's backup on Tuesday for Game 4.

Pickard has not played since Game 3 of Edmonton's round-two series against the Vegas Golden Knights, but will return as the backup netminder on Tuesday for Game 4. Stuart Skinner has been great since replacing Pickard in net, going 4-1 with a 1.64 GAA, .936 SV% and three shutouts, so it would likely take an injury for Pickard to get the crease back.
