Friday is the Blackhawks last game before the Olympic break, so up next for Kane is Sochi with Team USA. Look for him to be back on the ice with the Blackhawks on February 27 in New York.

After missing practice on Monday, van Riemsdyk flew to Florida this morning and is expected to play tonight.

van Riemsdyk missed practice on Wednesday but is back today and is expected to play tonight. van Riemsdyk has six goals and five assists (11 points) in his last 12 games.

van Riemsdyk scored in the Maple Leafs 3-2 win over the Lightning last night. JVR has six goals and four assists (10 points) in his last 10 games. He has totalled 41 points (21G / 20A) in 53 games this season.

Hamonic has missed the last eight games with a concussion, but is eligible to come off of IR and return to the lineup whenever he is able to play. He skated at Monday's morning skate, so he is expected to be close, however his placement on IR and the recall of Matt Donovan all but rules him out for Wednesday's Stadium Series game against the Rangers.

van Riemsdyk left the ice towards the end of practice, but is expected to play vs. Tampa Bay tomorrow. He has five goals and five assists (10 points) in his last 11 games.

Hamonic is not ready to return to the Islanders lineup, but it is a positive step in his recovery. Hamonic has missed the last seven games and could find himself on IR soon with Lubomir Visnovsky nearing a return.

Henrik Lundqvist is ill so Talbot will get the nod vs. the Islanders. Talbot stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 4-1 win over the Senators on Saturday. The win moved Talbot to 10-3-0 with a 1.62 GAA and .940 SV% on the season. He has become one of fantasy's best spot-start options this season and should be considered for a start again tonight. He stopped 22 shots in a 3-2 win over the Isles back on October 29.

Hamonic has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury, it seems highly unlikely that he will play on Monday afternoon.

With Jonas Hiller back from his illness, the Ducks have reassigned Gibson to Norfolk. His NHL debut will have to wait as he heads back to the AHL were he is 11-9-3 with a 2.61 GAA and .915 SV% this season.

Talbot has not started since January 4 when he stopped 24 of 25 shots in a win over the Maple Leafs. He has had a great year so far, but Henrik Lundqvist has turned things around lately which will limit Talbot's value going forward. On Saturday he will take on the Senators in Ottawa. He is 6-2-0 with a 1.55 GAA and .941 SV% on the road.

There is still no definitive word on what Hamonic is dealing with, but we should get an update in the next 24 hours after he is reevaluated in New York.

Hamonic left Saturday's game because of dehydration, he only played 15:06 opposed to his 24:58 TOI average. Matt Carkner will slide into the lineup with Hamonic out. He is listed as day-to-day.

Gibson, 20, is in his first full season in the AHL and is having a strong campaign to this point. He is 11-9-3 with a 2.61 GAA and .915 SV%. He has been recalled because the Ducks want Frederik Andersen to get more starts. Gibson will serve as the Ducks' number-2 behind the scorching Jonas Hiller. Anaheim has a back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday, there is a chance that Gibson could make his NHL debut this weekend.

Talbot allowed three goals on 34 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Capitals on December 27. After getting three straight starts, he sat for three straight games, but will be back in net tonight in the second game of a back-to-back. He will face a Maple Leafs team who he beat 2-1 in a shootout on December 23.

With Lundqvist starting in the loss last night, Talbot is likely to start today. The Leafs aren't a great matchup for the youngster, however.

Talbot stopped 24 of 25 shots in a 4-1 win over the Wild on Sunday. Despite his starts being limited because of the presence of Henrik Lundqvist, Talbot remains a great option when he gets the nod. He is 7-2-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .936 SV% to start his NHL career.

Talbot allowed one goal on 14 shots in a relief effort on December 12. He continues to play well while Henrik Lundqvist struggles. He enters play Sunday with a 6-2-0 record, 1.74 GAA and .934 SV% in his first eight NHL starts.
