DeSmith has played 80 minutes with the Penguins this season, stopped 20 of the 24 shots (.833 SV%) that he faced. During his time with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton he has gone 12-5-1 with a 2.53 GAA and .915 SV%. DeSmith’s recall suggests that something is up with Matt Murray or Tristan Jarry.

Duchene was listed as questionable on Monday and remains that way as he tries to get over the flu. Duchene missed the morning skate, which isn’t a good sign for his availability but the Senators will see how the afternoon goes. If he can’t play, look for Mark Borowiecki (concussion) to replace him as a seventh defenseman.

Duchene has the flu and is questionable for tomorrow’s game, which is a tough break because he is playing his best hockey since joining the Senators. Duchene had just six points (3G / 3A) in his first 24 games with Ottawa, but had three goals and one assist in two games over the weekend. Monitor Duchene’s status during Tuesday’s morning skate.

Capobianco, 20, has only appeared in one game with the Coyotes this season but has picked up 15 points (2G / 13A) in 25 games with the Roadrunners.

DeSmith came up to backup Tristan Jarry while Matt Murray was out for one-game, but with Murray back over the weekend, he returns to the AHL where he has gone 10-5-1 with a 2.72 GAA and .911 SV% in 17 games.

Capobianco, 20, was a third round pick (No.63 overall) in 2015 and has earned his first career call-up after posting two goals and 12 assists (14 points) in 17 games with the Roadrunners. The Coyotes recently got Jakob Chychrun back, so there’s no word who Capobianco would replace if he gets into the Coyotes lineup.

DeSmith, 26, has gone 9-2-1 with a 2.29 GAA and .924 SV% in 12 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. With Matt Murray leaving Monday’s game following a collision with Jakub Voracek, DeSmith’s call-up suggests that Murray will miss some time and roll with DeSmith and Tristan Jarry as their goaltending duo. In his only NHL appearance, DeSmith allowed three goals on 15 shots during a relief appearance in a 7-1 loss in Winnipeg.

Faksa missed Monday’s game vs. the Jets with a lower-body injury he suffered last Saturday vs. the Sabres. He is expected to replace Jason Dickinson on the fourth line and comes in with three goals and four assists (seven points) in 14 games.

Faksa left Saturday’s game vs. Buffalo with a lower-body injury and it will keep him out of tonight’s game vs. the Jets. Faksa was able record a goal and assist in that game before leaving, but he will be replaced by Martin Hanzal in the lineup tonight.

Duchene was pulled off of the ice in the middle of tonight’s game in Brooklyn and heads to Ottawa, where he will make his Senators debut in Sweden against…Colorado. The 26-year-old has recorded four goals and six assists (10 points) in 13 games so far this season and has a career-high of 30 goals (2016) and 47 assists (2014). He will replace Kyle Turris, who heads to Nashville as a part of this trade.

Petrovic has been a healthy scratch in three of the last five games, including vs. the Lightning on Monday, but will replace an unnamed player in the lineup tomorrow. He has just two assists in eight games this season.

DeSmith was recalled to serve as Matt Murray’s backup after Antti Niemi was claimed off of waivers by the Panthers. DeSmith made his NHL debut on Sunday, replacing Murray in the first period and went on to allow three goals on 15 shots.

Petrovic has been a healthy scratch for the last two games, but will replace MacKenzie Weegar in the lineup tonight vs. the Ducks. Petrovic has just one assist in six games, but has collected 14 hits (2.33 hits/GP).
