Dallas Stars News

Seguin (rest) will be out of Dallas' lineup for the final game of the regular season on Wednesday vs. St. Louis.

Seguin has been in and out of the lineup for the last several weeks for precautionary measures after returning from a lower-body injury. Evgenii Dadonov (lower-body) will return from a multi-month absence and replace Seguin in the lineup. Seguin has enjoyed a bounce-back 2023-24 campaign, scoring 52 points (25G / 27A) in 68 games.

Oettinger will start on Wednesday vs. St. Louis.

The Stars can clinch the Western Conference title with a single point on Wednesday and will turn to Oettinger between the pipes to try and do so. Oettinger has started four straight and has been excellent lately, allowing two or fewer goals in nine of his last 10 (9-1-0), including saving 26 of 28 shots (.963 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 3-1 win over the Seattle Kraken. The Stars enter action on Wednesday as -227 home favourites against the St. Louis Blues.

Rantanen (concussion) has been cleared for contact and was a full participant in Friday's team practice.

Rantanen has been skating with the team all week and has been cleared for contact, likely making his return to the lineup imminent. His 102 points in 77 games in 2023-24 marks his second straight 100+ point campaign. Colorado's next game is on Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets.

Oettinger will start on Thursday vs. Winnipeg.

The Stars have only one loss in their last 11 games (10-1-0) and will turn to Oettinger in the crease for the third straight game. Oettinger is riding an eight-game winning streak and has flipped the switch on his season after a porous start, recording two shutouts and a tremendous .939 SV% during that eight-game stretch. The Stars enter action as -151 home favourites on Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets.

Lyubushkin will draw back into Toronto's lineup on Thursday vs. New Jersey.

Connor Timmins will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Lyubushkin to re-enter the lineup. Lyubushkin was acquired at the trade deadline and has settled in nicely during his second tenure with the Maple Leafs, with four assists, eight SOG and a +3 plus/minus through 15 games played.

Ilya Lyubushkin
Kolyachonok will draw into the Coyotes' lineup on Wednesday.

Kolyachonok will get an immediate chance to play after being recalled from Tucson (AHL) earlier today. Kolyachonok has played 34 games across parts of three seasons with the Coyotes, including one game earlier this year. He has eight goals and three assists in 35 AHL games this season.

Lyubushkin will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday in New Jersey.

With Toronto on the back end of a back-to-back and Lyubushkin struggling with injuries as of late, Conor Timmins will replace him in the Maple Leafs lineup Tuesday. Lyubushkin was acquired at the trade deadline and has settled in nicely during his second tenure with the Maple Leafs, with four assists, eight SOG and a +3 plus/minus through 15 games played.

Rantanen (concussion) skated in a non-contact jersey Tuesday and is hopefully to return on Saturday vs. Winnipeg.

Rantanen took part in a skate before Colorado's practice on Monday, participated in a non-contact jersey on Tuesday, and is nearing a return to the lineup. His 102 points in 77 games in 2023-24 marks his second straight 100+ point campaign.

Oettinger will start on Tuesday vs. Buffalo.

The Stars have won nine of their last 10 (9-1-0) and will turn to Oettinger for the second straight game on Tuesday against the Buffalo Sabres. Oettinger is riding a stellar 1.58 GAA and .943 SV% along with two shutouts during a seven-game winning streak. The Stars enter action as sizeable -233 home favourites.

Jake Oettinger
Lindell (undisclosed) will play on Tuesday after leaving the Stars' previous game due to injury.

Lindell was limited to only 16:44 time-on-ice in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Colorado Avalanche due to an undisclosed ailment but will be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Buffalo Sabres. Lindell has two points (0G / 2A) and 10 shots in his last four games.

Esa Lindell
Rantanen (concussion) is out on Tuesday but is progressing and feeling better.

Rantanen took part in a skate before Colorado's practice Monday but has been announced Tuesday vs. Minnesota as he will be his second-straight game due to a concussion. Avalanche fans can breathe as the 27-year-old is expected back sooner rather than later as he will be likely taking part in the morning skate Tuesday regardless of his in-game distinction. His 102 points in 77 games in 2023-24 marks his second straight 100+ point campaign.
