Pospisil still has one year left on his two-year contract worth $1 million AAV, but has signed an extension beyond this season for three-years, $7.5 million ($2.5 million AAV) with Calgary on Wednesday. The 25-year-old bruising ringer is entering his third NHL season after playing in nearly every game in 2024-25 (81), and picking up four goals, 25 points, and 84 PIMs. He is expected to fill another bottom-six role to start the season with Calgary.

Morton made his NHL debut in 2024-25 with one goal in one game and has earned himself a one-year, two-way extension to remain in Calgary for the upcoming season. The undrafted 25-year-old spent his first full professional season with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) in 2024-25, picking up 20 goals and 45 points in 70 games played.

After being acquired mid-way through the 2024-25 season by Calgary, Morgan Frost seems to have found a new home after signing a two-year contract extension worth $4.375 million AAV ($8.75M total) to remain with the Flames on Wednesday. The 26-year-old saw his average ice time increase by 1:20 after joining Calgary and ended his 2024-25 campaign with 14 goals and 37 points in 81 games played.

Returning to North America after one season in the KHL, Ivan Prosvetov has signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with the Calgary Flames. The 26-year-old Russian netminder last appeared in the NHL with Colorado in 2023-24, making 11 starts. Last season with CSKA Moskva (KHL), he excelled with a 20-16-2 record, .920 SV% and 2.32 GAA.

After posting a career high in points (9) in his 10th NHL season in 2024-25, Joel Hanley has earned himself a two-year, $3.5 million contract extension ($1,750,000 AVV) to remain with Calgary. The 34-year-old will provide Calgary with some much-needed defensive depth next season after collecting two goals, nine points and 21 PIMs in 53 games played last season.

Bishop made his Flames debut last season, scoring one point (1G / 0A) in six games, but spent most of the 2024-25 season in the AHL, tallying 38 points (19G / 19A) in 66 games. The 29-year-old Bishop's career-high was 20 NHL games in the 2018-19 season, a feat that will likely be surpassed in the 2025-26 season after signing a one-way contract.

After missing the second half of the 2024-25 season due to a knee injury, Justin Kirkland has earned himself a one-year, $900,000 contract extension to remain in Calgary. The 28-year-old forward picked up his first career point in 2024-25 with the Flames and finished the campaign early with two goals, eight points and a +6 plus/minus in 21 games played. He is expected to take a bottom-six role in 2025-26.

Miromanov has not played since March 27th but will draw back into Calgary's lineup for their season-finale on Thursday. The 27-year-old defenseman has nine points (2G / 7A) in 43 games this season.

Officially eliminated from playoff contention, Brzustwicz will draw into Calgary's lineup for his NHL debut on Thursday. Brzustewicz was the third-round pick of the Calgary Flames in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old completed his first professional season, scoring 31 points (5G / 26A) in 69 games with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL).

Officially eliminated from playoff contention, Parekh will draw into Calgary's lineup on Thursday for his NHL debut. Parekh was Calgary's ninth-overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The 19-year-old defenseman had an outstanding third season in the OHL, scoring 107 points (33G / 74A) in 61 games with the Saginaw Spirit.

Officially eliminated from playoff contention, Hunt will draw into Calgary's lineup for his fifth game of the season. The 29-year-old Hunt has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, scoring 48 points (15G / 33A) in 48 games with the Calgary Wranglers.

Morton turned heads in his Senior season at Minnesota State University (Mankato) and earned himself a one-year, two-way contract worth $950,000 with Calgary that started in the 2024-25 season. The 25-year-old undrafted forward scored 45 points (20G / 25A) in 69 games with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) this season.
